Today was my first experience at Brito’s Burrito and certainly won’t be my last. The space is clean and well organized. The gentlemen behind the counter were professional and kind and I felt welcomed into the business.
I ordered a burrito with seasoned rice, black beans, barbacoa, carnitas (double serving of meat) hot salsa, pico, corn, cheese, onion, jalapeño and cilantro. A pretty standard order when I’m getting my burrito fix. Price was just under $14 but it is large enough that I will get two meals out of it.
The tortilla was fresh pressed and then dropped onto the flat top to toast each side. The aforementioned ingredients were fresh and well balanced in flavor. The tortilla folding technique was done in a way where I could completely remove the paper wrapper and I eat it without fear of the contents falling into my lap. The fresh tortilla really made this burrito a step above compared to other lunch counter Mexican offerings.
Oh yeah, the loyalty program is generous in that you buy 7 burritos you get the 8th one for free....

They're slowly building up and I can tell it's catching on so do something great for your neighbors and get some takeout tonight. You'll probably...
Read moreI wish I could say the food was good but It wasn't... I got a burrito. The "queso" was liquid consistency, as in water/milk. No exaggeration at all, a total disappointment. Otherwise the burrito is essentially a giant spoon of rice followed by a giant spoon of beans followed by a tiny spoon of meat.... Come on, you are not setting your business up for success at all. Charge whatever you have to charge to make a good burrito. When you start with 4 parts rice and beans to 1 part meat you end up with a totally bland, boring unappealing burrito, it's as...
