Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Lexington

Pull up to the drive-thru, I asked what the specials are the employee tells me peanut buster parfait so I tell them I'll take one of those they gave me my price of $4.39. Well there were cars in front of me so I couldn't move away from the speaker and I hear that person tell someone else take this job from me because I hate doing this basically sitting there talking smack about what they hate about their job and I said oh just so you know your microphone is on they immediately shut it off very unprofessional. I get up to the window and they tell me it'll be $6.36 I said excuse me he told me it would be $4.39 I said excuse me they said he looked at the wrong game and he gave you the wrong special, well I wanted to order what was on special because I was trying to save money but at this point they've already got it made and I'm going to be paying the $6.36 even though I would have ordered what was on special to get the cheaper price and they laughed and thought it was funny. No I'm not just writing a review because I had a bad experience this time the last time I was there the mark that I ordered which was a hot fudge mouth they didn't even mix the hot fudge all the way through so the month was horrible and they were really rude at the window so I didn't even bother getting it fixed I figured I'd give him another chance. Practically every time I go in this shop, they are out of the little sundae cups kept in the reach in freezer by the cakes. It’s really disappointing. I mean if they sell so well, you would think they would keep them stocked. It’s gotten to the point where I hardly visit them anymore because it seems such a waste of a trip to go there and they don’t have what I want.

So after writing my last review I visited the shop 3 times, all 3 times they were out of the sundae cups. I asked the manager why they never have them and he told me “ sometimes the cake lady doesn’t feel like making them” ( from here on out, I shall refer to her as the cake BOSS) I told him I really would like to take some to the associates at my job. So he says he can have some made for me. I tell him great, I’ll pick up 10 of them tomorrow. I go to pick them up today and they come out with the chocolate frosting on them. I didn’t order chocolate. And there is only four. An associate goes and finds 4 more. Then the manager offers to scrape the frosting off the top and re-frost them. Not the same. Why can’t I just get what I ordered? Had 24 hours to get it right, and still didn’t. Guess this is my sign to never order a special cake from them. Sadly...

Was here with a lady friend and her friend a little after 3 PM today 6/23/2024, I got the short strawberry shake(I don’t know what they got), I’m not from the area, but that was one good shake I had(as long as my stomach doesn’t turn against me later on) I normally don’t have Dairy Queen (If at all) but it’s been a while since I’ve had it but overall decent location, decent employees as well(high school? I guess). Employees were friendly. Didn’t have to deal with bees buzzing around me(which seemed kind of strange as it was very hot today, OK well not that hot but in the 80s we had our desserts outside by the way), but as soon as we were about to leave, we saw a bee so thank Neptune we got out of there in time before a possible swarm came, anywho back to the restaurant decent location a bit small but did have a drive-through. I’m not from this area(I’m from Plymouth) but if I ever do return to circle pines, I will make sure to come to Dairy Queen and try out that strawberry shake again(or maybe something else and pending the...
