I came in to sample beers for work on the first major snowfall of the year. Little did I know that "work" could be so fun!
It was trivia night and despite only a handful of people who braved the storm, the few in atrendace were so kind, so friendly, and so welcoming.
Since there were few people trying my beers, I had a lot of chances to walk around and see what they had in store! Board games, card games, video games? They've got it! Literally.... every corner I turned was either nostalgia or enlightenment (depends on when you were born 🤣), but always something new at every turn.
If you like games of any kind I recommend you swing by and check this place out. I was lucky enough to meet the owners, Tristan and Erin (spelling?) as well as their awesome bartender Summer (spelling?!) and they were nothing short of amazing!!!!
Awesome staff, awesome games, and an overall unforgetable vibe.
Did I mention they have a bar in the back 🤔
Much love from your friend Christian. I can't wait to come back when I'm not on the clock and enjoy your spot to the fullest 😎 Cheers!
edit my pics dont do any justice at all 🤣 ya gotta...
Read moreFirst off,
As a kid I was major into TCGs and video games, especially throw backs. I loved going to card shops where they would host events and barter collectibles.
Fast forward 20 years and many of them have closed. The source had moved and changed. Life in general changes and I had started a family.
My son turned 5 and dove right into Pokemon. There was no stopping him. Sparked me to dig out all my old Pokemon and MTG stuff and we now as a family collect.
The Curious Crow opened so close to my house that we feel lucky to have our favorite hobby within walking distance!
Not only do they stock a wide variety of collectibles and curiosities, THEY EVEN SERVE BEER AND WINE!!!!!!!!!
Hands down my favorite place in the world right now and if your at all into a very chill, nostalgic place where you can bring the family, and have a couple drinks, I SUGGEST DROP EVERYTHING AND GO THERE! LIKE NOW! Seriously (all the peer pressure intended)
They host all sorts of events too.. and live music!!!
Enough rambling from me! 12/10, wouldn’t change a thing!!!!

Read moreLiterally the BEST nerd shop to exist. The owners are so friendly and they host a wide array of events. From Magic The Gathering to Lego building to DND and even Murder Mystery events. They also sell beverages from a local brewery with a good selection of alcohol as well as sodas made here in Minnesota. I go into this shop multiple times a week and have gotten very friendly with the owners. They have everything a nerd like myself could want. Retro consoles hooked up to CRT TVs like an NES, SNES, and even an N64. They also have an area dedicated to Local Artists that they sell. If you're a local artist who does 3D Printing, make handmade trinkets, or even if you're an author they have an area just for you! 15/10 would HIGHLY recommend. Stop on by and maybe you'll see me...
