Columbia Steak Express — Restaurant in Lexington

First of all the only thing that was good was the potato skins and it was nothing fabulous. The rolls were terrible, and so was the steak I had. The croutons were burnt to the core. My waitress/bartender was nice but she was slammed because no one came in to work and was running the bar and the lounge. After sitting there a little bit a man came in with his wife and was really rude to the girl because she was slammed. He said she was being a smartass but she really wasn't. He was being the jackass. Apparently he is a regular by what one of the managers made it sound like when she stepped in. He still kept mouthing off after the fact of getting his beers from the manager. Me and my friend were talking loud about how rude he was and how we didn't want to sit there and eat if he was going to be sitting there. He eventually went back to a table. But the girl was pregnant so she was already under enough stress with all the tables she had. Also the music was terrible. I'd like to sit at a bar and have a conversation but that was not possible. Ordered a Nighthawk special and it was delivered 70 minutes later (told 45 minutes when placing order). I noticed it was a different cut of meat than they usually serve and the butter was only about 1/4 of the usual amount. When I cut it up it was over cooked and was very chewy, so much so that I couldn’t chew it enough to swallow. I called and spoke with the manager who explained it was a different cut of meat that they are serving now and asked what I wanted him to do. I started to ask him to send another cooked properly and he cut me off saying they would not be doing that because it would be exactly the same. I responded by asking him to have Mr or Mrs Penn (the owners) call me and he laughed at me saying it was their decision to change the cut of meat. This occurred on Sunday around 7:30pm and I have still not received a call from anyone making it right. Basically, I had some $22-23 fries and dry Mac and cheese. Don't do it. I ordered my food at 1:20 showed up at 3. So after waiting over a hour and a half the driver shows up. Me being generally suspicious at this point, check the food before I pay. Sandwich is soggy and the meat is cold. Telling me the food was made about 45 minutes ago considering they have a warming bag with them. So not only did it take way to long to get here but also once it got here I sent it back with the driver because it was old. Did I try food? No but if that's the quality of their staff the food can't be much better. Only explanation given is they got backed up. I ordered at 1:20 on a Wednesday. Now I'm not goingn to pretend to know their business but how many people are ordering their lunch between 1:30 - 3 on a Wednesday.
