Run a smoke shop just up the road and ordered delivery around 10:45pm. Took about a hour to get to me with about 45 minutes of that time it sat in the store not including the cook time. Food quality was fine albeit I can tell you likely don’t have a hotbox or it is malfunctioning since pizza was lukewarm upon delivery. Labor is always an issue in pizza but there are ways to work around this so that even if delivery takes awhile customers still get hot pizza. You can keep track and guesstimate when your driver is likely to return and put the orders in the oven so they’ll be ready just before he gets back from his last delivery. That’ll definitely cut down on the complaints. Customers are much more understanding and forgiving of a long wait if their pizza is piping hot out of the oven, so trust me your medalia score will definitely improve over time. You bump orders and just not put them in and use the receipts to keep track of said orders so you can keep your make times looking good.
Your driver (older black gentleman, was your closer on 12/28/24. Great customer service and very professional, give him a raise.) mentioned delivery is always painfully slow around this time due to understaffing. No reason to only have one driver closing when you’re this busy with deliveries. Either your area manager is a complete moron and doesn’t give you enough labor (most likely scenario honestly, they never do and it’s universal) or you’ve just gotta schedule more drivers to stay late and send them home early if business is slower than expected. Schedule less cooks and cross training drivers on cut helps a lot. Should be able to run things with just a manager and 2-3 drivers after 9 or 10pm on your delivery-heavy nights. It totally sucks but you just gotta work around your labor limits and come up with a strategy that prioritizes speedy deliveries, or at least make sure when the pizza IS delivered it’s fresh out of the oven. Just gotta be creative with it and keep your secrets from the retards in upper management who think they know the business. They don’t, they just expect you to achieve results and good reviews no matter what restrictions they put on you to squeeze out an extra dime or two. Hope this review either helps or gave...
Read more0 starts!! * I ordered Domino's from the Towne Center location in Lexington KY today and I have to say after this experience I question my loyalty to this franchise. I placed an order online and picked it up, after returning home to my disappointment my ENTIRE ORDER was wrong. I called the "manager" and I use that term lightly because she was anything but a manager, told my to drive back to the store with my order, once I arrive she proceeded to argue with me and ended up screaming in my face infront of her other employees, one of which asked her why don't you just remake the food? Finally, she hastily remade the food and still got it wrong. I don't know why she couldn't admit she was wrong and apologize like a normal manager would have done. Clearly I wasn't trying to get over on her, I already brought her my order, uneaten. She told me I was lucky she was remaking the food to begin with and a refund was out of the question. After spending over an hour and a half of my day arguing with Elaine, I have wasted my time. What happened to the customer is always right? I hope she gets fired, this will be escalated to corporate and I have already contacted Alan the district manager. Elaine you don't belong in...
Read moreOrdered 2 pizzas & an order of wings. Online form for "contactless delivery" clearly states to give delivery driver instructions for drop off. I instructed driver to ring doorbell & place food on porch. An hour later wandering where our food was we checked our porch to no avail. As we were closing the door, we happened to see the food in our landscaping bed.
It was cold & no good of course. I call & speak with Ryan who claims to be the manager. Tell him about the incident & ask for a refund. He says no because we have the food. I tell him he can gladly come get it. He says no. So I took the food back & dropped it off on his door. I called & told him and that I'd like my refund now & he hung up on me.
I didn't expect Malone's or some 5 star service. I just wanted an edible pizza for my kids & some wings for me. That was apparently to much to ask & these punks working...
