Man at front counter is racist and aggressive. Was shopping there yesterday and overheard him telling a story about something being stolen. However, when describing the thief, he repeatedly only referred to her as “the black woman.” When he approached me, I tried to gently call him in and explain that using race as the only descriptor for a person (especially in a negative light) is harmful and perpetuates violence against minorities, and could reflect badly on their business. However, instead of considering his actions, he opted to instead double down and get directly in my face (a 100lb white woman) in an attempt to physically intimidate me, only moving away when another customer approached. As I was walking through the store, I had my hands resting in my jacket pockets because they were cold. I was doing nothing wrong, not doing anything.
