Drake's Leestown — Restaurant in Lexington

This got two stars only because the food was decent. You’re better off making the drive to Nicholasville or Tates Creek if you want any level of customer service. The servers and managers spent more time laughing/talking in the corner instead of checking on customers. When we arrived we waited 10 min until a bus boy noticed a server hadn’t taken our orders yet. A server came soon after and got our food orders. 25 min later the waitress made eye contact with our table, clearly had forgotten about us, and rushed to the kitchen to bring our food. After bringing our food we asked for drink/beer refills. 10 min after she came to ask if we needed anything else, and we asked for the check, as she realized she forgot to put our drink orders in. While she rushed to bring us our drinks they had forgot, we just paid the bill and left. We were very excited for this location and gave it a few months before trying, knowing they would need to get up to speed after opening. However, in seeing the customer service (or lack thereof) at our table and those around us, we don’t anticipate returning. When we arrived, we were told to seat ourselves via the sign. Clean and nice indoor area with a bar. Friendly staff. Food was delicious. We had the buffalo chicken quesadilla with ranch and sour cream (very thick) as well as chives, beautifully sprinkled on top for our “starter”. It was rich and full of flavor. For our main course, we had the three buffalo chicken sliders. They had a bit more spice to them than the quesadilla did, but still delicious and well cooked, however could have been a bit more crisp. On the side was mac & cheese with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top. This was rich and creamy, but a bit of salt and pepper would’ve accentuated the flavor even more. Another side that we had french fries, these french fries were crinkle fries and well, seasoned with salt and pepper. They were well crispy. Pickles were nice and crunchy

If I were to come again, I would just get the buffalo chicken quesadilla over the three buffalo chicken sliders.

I can’t believe what I experienced tonight! We are from Chicago, Il doing a business trip and and THIS was our second time in 5 days and was excited to come back! What we experienced tonight was NOT COOL AT ALL! My team and I told to exit the premises because “Zach/zak/zack” said he made a judgement call that we couldn’t drink anymore. No one (5 in party) had more than 2 drinks! Like literally on second drink. No of us was drunk not being disrespectful! We actually was grooving and enjoying our host (Kamryn) and others in the area we was in! Heck Zack at one point seemed a good guy but that turned when we was ask to escort the building! After the fact all he could say was he made a mistake but that was too late! Just so you know the surrounding parties was looking discombobulated. It’s a bar we were at and it was game day(football)! We are truly disappointed and will NEVER attend your establishment!
