Giovanni's Pizza — Restaurant in Lexington

Giovanni's Pizzaria. Consistent Italian dishes and Flavors. Giovanni's in Wildcat Country... The same Here and the same in W.Virgina at Marshall. I had the oportunity to work a Security Camera/ Point of Sales Installation detail where I had the oportunity to be in six seperate Giovanni's Franchise Stores. As well as a host of Service Stations, Convenient, and Hometown Mom & Pop Operations ranging from Home Cooking Restuarants To Souvenirs Shoppes and an Ice creamery( my favorite) all in almost a month. Of Per-diem Motel Rm/Board travelling installations Unit... An interesting story actually but this is My Giovannis review. I personally love the.Menu at this Casual Eat- in / Take- out Well portioned, appropriately priced. And strategically placed; one of which was tucked cozily ]as a Sandwich Counter style located in a small Ohio Farming Community. Inside A Service /Convenience /Gas Station and They Roundly served A constant traffic flow of Pizza-Pasta-and Italian sandwiches my personal favorite so that sometimes Id but two a day one at lunch and at Dinner. Try the "Italian" if you like Hogies or Grinders great from the first bite to the last. and Delicious and Comfortingly Consistant in its recipe of meats and vegetables. And ovenbaked til crispy and melty provolone drapes over sides and the contrasting Iceburg, Finely shredded , creates a pleasing mouthfeel. Against the lightly Toasted crispy roll, the spicy Salami and Ham is perfectly accented by deliciously creamy mayonnaise made just the right level of juicy by fresh sliced tomatos that require at least one napkin. My Favorite Pizza is A large Thin crust heavy sauce Italian sausage Mushroom Sliced fresh and thin julliened Bermuda Onion... I said the large because the combo is just as satifying in the morning by rhe motel pool before moving on to the next job. All the dishes revealed here are also availabpe at our Hometown Lexington Location but for a change of pace or way to feed a crew quickly Giovanni' on East N.Circle has a Delicioso Salad bar with choice of six dressings three pasts wait facing the salad bar your sure to love w a simple and delicious marina i personally use to dip my pizza crusts. Also a Hearty meat sauce perfect for spaghetti and for fettucine fans a deliciously rich creamy Alfredo and a Ton of Garlic Bread sticks or Cheese and herbed bread Sticks That come from a constant flo of approx 8 combinations at all times tho i must reveal the Owners Came to our table to ask if we had specific choices in toppings we wanted, that we kept to about 3 items for each" He'd make them for us And Graciously Did" I was some how even able to dip cinnimon breadsticks in glaze drizzle dessert and for all the food, fast convenient, Corteous service and with a drink under $10/ person. I even placed my pizza order though a medium was sufficient to satisfy the taste of the combination above...

Ordered one Big Red sandwich (no lettuce) and one turkey sandwich (no mayo). The turkey sandwich was correct, however, the Big Red sandwich was covered in mayo and tomato and did not have the Big Red sauce (the whole staple of the BIG RED sandwich). When we called to tell them that the sandwich that we were given was not what we ordered the employee proceeded to snap at us and tell us that she made the sandwich and that she knows it’s correct. We told her that the Big Red sandwich has the Big Red sauce and she argued that it did not and that the order was done properly, went silent, and hung up the phone. We called back and asked to speak with a manager or supervisor. I guess none were there because the girl who answered stuttered for a bit before saying she was “in charge” and asked how she could help. After explaining what had just happened she told us that the other employee had been there all day and that she wasn’t trying to argue with us (then why did she? And why did she hang up?) and then told us in order to receive the correct sandwich she would have to charge us with another delivery fee (even though they’re the ones who don’t know how to make their own special sandwich). We told her we would not pay a delivery fee as it was their fault for messing the order up. We were put on hold and told that the manager (oh, there is one there) had given the OK to send one out shortly. I will be checking the account tomorrow to make sure they didn’t charge me a second delivery fee...

I enjoy Giovanni's pizza very much and have always had a great experience at the Georgetown and Jessamine county locations, but the location in Lexingotn on New Circle Rd is just not up to par with the rest of them. I ordered a pizza and some boneless wings on a Thursday night and it took just over an hour to get my food. Not a problem until I opened my pizza box. My pizza looked like a half moon and not a round pizza. I think the delivery driver slammed on their brakes and let my pizza fly out of the seat. The pizza is cold, no heat at all and the wings are even colder, like it was made in 10 minutes of me ordering and sat for 50 minutes. When I called all I was offered was a new pizza....wait another hour, no thank you. Then a credit on my next order since I didn't want to wait for them to deliver a new pizza. I took the credit, but not sure if I will ever get it as I can't commit to wanting to order from these people ever again. They just don't care about their product...
