Today my mother was racially profiled! There is a sign on the door that says no large bags . So as a customer my mother provided her bag to the cashier ASSISTING MANAGER as requested!! However when my mother began to shop she noticed several other white customers with the same size or lager bags ! My mother is a women who in her life time has been involved with racially motivated hate since she was little ! This immediately took her back to that. She decided to not try on the jeans that she had and got a coat and left! When she came to the car where I was waiting she was almost in tears from the embarrassment and racism that she just had gone through . I took it upon myself to go into the store an ask the women why she decided to take one black women’s bag and no one else’s ! She proceeded to lie and say she had a big order and was the only person up there so the several people that were shopping freely got to sneak past her with their bags! I asked her flat out did she know what that looked like as I myself standing at the register witnessed 3 white women standing with their large bags! She claimed she apologized over and over ! As I explained to her the apology does nothing to a women that’s been getting victimized since she was little! I let her know then I would be filing a complaint for this against her and that maybe she should leave her post and circle the store and gather all the bags like she did my mothers! It’s sick in 2022 that people are still displaying their racism in their professional lives and getting away with it! Very disappointed with this store. I have been shopping at this store almost 5yrs!! With friends and family. I found vintage chest to purchase for my son. Once i got to the register and ask to buy if anyone would assist me to load the manager Tracy shouted in a very rude tone.We cant sell it to you if you can get it… While i was purchasing other things worthy $100. She was very rude and dismissive, very unprofessional. I went back today The chest was marked $100 more than the price it was before. I Address it with the other manager. Tracy heard me complaining about what happened last time. She started yelling and raising her voice at the moment in front of all the customers i had my children's with me. I excuse myself ask for the GM contact & left! Not to forget, this is a store supposed to help and rescue the community that are struggling daily basics. Posting for a relative- The staff I encountered here was extremely rude. I was shopping there over the weekend and picked up two chairs. They did not have a price on them but another chair that was just like them but a different color did, so I took it up front to provide a price reference. The staff member rudely said, “You’re not getting those chairs today.” (meaning the ones with the price not on them) I let her know that I’d brought one to show her that did have a price tag, and she said (in a very rude manner) she could not sell the other ones to me. If it is a policy that they cannot sell items without a price tag, I didn’t know and she could’ve simply said that. Instead she said, “You may walk out of here with that one, but you won’t get these!” (referring to the two with no price tag) and then had the nerve to ask me to put them back.
