Italiano’s Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lexington

We waited on a waitress to clear a table off. Got seated. Ordered the buffet. While we were getting our food, 2 customers sauntered over to our table and sat down. We told the waitress but she didn't tell them to move or anything. I had to pull a chair from another table for us to be able to seat and eat and not stand like cows at a trough. Yes, I am ticked off. This is total disregard for the customer. We ordered hot wings with our food but it took about 25 minutes to get them out. We asked for medium and received HOT. Burning HOT. A different waitress gave us our tea refills. We had to ask for silverware. Now on to the pizza and salad bar. No cheddar shredded cheese just mozzarella. I THINK there was feta in some sort of liquid. Almost everything was empty on thd salad bar. Very small bar. Lettuce, olives, cakes, tomatoes, whole hard boiled eggs, jalapeños and that's it for the salad choices. Pizza bar had NO warming lights to keep the pizza hot. Room temperature pizza is what you get. When your pizza CRUNCHES there is something wrong with it. I took pictures of the shoe leather they are serving as pizza. No sauce on the pizza. The only moisture on the pizza was from the pepperoni grease. The waitress seriously needs training. When another waitress has to cover your table and it's NOT busy, yeah you need training. This was our first and LAST visit. Terrible food. All the Italian ancestors are rolling in their graves because this place is claiming Italian food. DO NOT ear here for authentic Italian food! After reading all the 5 star reviews, I don't get it. The pizza buffet looked unappealing. Other customers were complaining it was cold. My husband got the cheese steak supreme. I got the stromboli steak supreme. They were both made with the same meat. It was dry and chewy. The stromboli crust was undercooked and doughy. There was hardly any green pepper, onions and mushrooms in it. There was nothing special about any of it. Service was extremely slow. We had to wait for a table to be cleared. There was a table of 6. They waited forever. Nothing was brought out at the same time. It took about 10 trips, at least 5 minutes apart, to get everyone served. One customer left his money on the table because it took so long to pay at the counter. Our waitress came back once. We had to search to find her. It was obvious that nothing was done to the building. It was the same old furniture from the previous restaurant. The tables are pretty disgusting. The formica is coming away from the edges. The ceilings were still droopy in places with water spots. There was no pride in making it a pleasant place to eat. Will we go back? No. It wasn't...

I was so excited to try this place, but then we did. The waitress, bless her heart, this must be her first job. She took our drink order brought the drinks and disappeared for about 20 minutes. We were a table of 5. Started with the bruschetta, which was not real bruschetta. Then the food. Caesar salad, chicken was good, but had odd dressing. Chicken scampi had no flavor and was dry. The cheese steak sandwich also had no flavor, tasted like they used steakums for the meat. Manicotti Alfred was actually OK other than being a little bland. Our server never brought our bread for the pasta meals. The server asked how we wanted her checks, we explained, she said just come to the register and it would be split then. Please take the time to train your staff. Even if the food was good, without good service you...
