Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Lexington

So we decided to go here over Don Jaun's because the last time we went to Don's I got Carne Asada Tacos and it really wasn't that good. So we decided to try this place because they had decent reviews. We got in and first off they put us right by the front door right where all the customers and waiters and waitresses are walking through. So the girl comes to take our drink orders she was really sweet and we also ordered a queso dip. While waiting for our app they bring chips and Salsa and the chips looked like they dumped the bottom of the bag into our basket. Then our app came out the queso was so runny we couldn't even scoop it up with any chips let alone the crumbles pieces we had it served better as beverage. So then another girl comes to take our order and she has her purse in her hand we were like where's our server? And I ordered the Rancheros and supposed to come with rice and beans and I got none of that just the 3 tortillas wrapped with meat that was it! We ordered my daughter 2 soft tacos and she only got 1. And her mother ordered Chimichanga with white sauce no red sauce and she got red sauce and said the food wasn't that good either she only ate 1 and no rice or anything else. Fortunately, my food was really good I just didn't get what I paid for no rice or beans so I wasn't happen at all! Then when it came time to pay there was nobody upfront to take mine and another customers payment. They stood there waiting about 10mins to pay and I waited about 8mins to pay. Overall it wasn't a great experience since we had like 3-4 waitresses we didn't get the food we ordered and just overall it's not enough to bring us back. I really don't think that management cares either because I looked at the reviews and not 1 reply from the owners or a manger from all their reviews and that shows they don't care. So save your time and your money and go somewhere else for a better experience. I don't recommend this place at all unless you want below subpar service and subpar food your better off going to Don Jauns less than 1\2 mile down the road. Well it says it's cozy online , but no , it's cramped ! Booths are tiny and tables also , everyone was bumping elbows the entire time , the food wouldn't even fit on the table and there was only 3 of us ! Then comes the food... I love Mexican food but this was the weirdest ish I've ever had... I kept tasting something familiar but nasty.. then i find it was full of chorizo 🤢(you should put on the menu everything is full of chorizo) some people dont like it !!!! Chorizo does not belong in every dish you make , it's fine in eggs but i prefer my meats without it , but it would be nice to know before you order something if it has chorizo or not , so i guess that is their cheap alternative to giving you the actual meat you ordered (i ordered mocajete texana) which has chicken ,beef , and shrimp , i got about 4 shrimp , a little bit of chicken and a ton of fatty nasty hard grissly cheap steak (that i spit most of it out) and the rest was chorizo... I was not pleased at all ! None of us ate really , and left it there , it was that bad... So that one star they got is for the tea , the tea was great and the waitress was super nice too , salsa was very good also , other than that , nop..do not go... If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. I placed a take out order at Mi Casa and everything about my order was completely wrong. Rice didn’t have cheese, missing a order of rice, had to send tacos back 3 times because they were messed up, took the side of rice away from the tacos that were sent back, no cheese dip, chicken quesadilla had tomato’s. These were just a few of the problems I had with my order, the whole ordeal took over 45 minutes. Not to mention the food was cold and had hair in it. Waitress and cooks couldn’t get my order right to the point that the receptionist had to go back and make my food. The only thing that was right with the whole 60$ order was a 4$ side of cheese rice. I will definitely not be returning and would advise anyone else to take their business somewhere else. Female staff member was rude when I sent my food back the first time. Other than her the staff was friendly and apologetic regarding the situation. Called the restaurant back after everything was over to see if the meal could be comped, all that was offered to me was to remake the food or for my next order to be free.
