Waited 45 minutes for food to arrive before calling to cancel my order. Called twice, spoke with manager both times. The first time I called was about 30 min post-order to ensure everything was okay and that they'd received my order (as I'd never had Jimmy John's take longer than 20 minutes, really if I'm honest, I've never had it take longer than 15 minutes to get to me, but 20 still seems reasonable ---the commercial says their delivery Is super fast and that's generally true in my experience), the manager nonchalantly told me that I 'was good' and it'd be there soon that they had a driver call in. I called to cancel my order the second time (45 minutes after I ordered). She literally didn't offer to fix the situation whatsoever. She called me back to indicate she couldn't contact her driver at roughly 50 minutes into this ordeal to tell me that I should tell him I voided my order. I at that point discussed with her that the situation was unacceptable and that this literally meant I wasn't going to be eating dinner because it is 8pm and I called to order Jimmy John's because of the speed of their services generally. That I didn't have time to order something else, but that the service I received was unacceptable. She asked me what I wanted her to do about it, and was extremely rude about the situation, saying that they had a driver call in and what did I want from her. I want good customer service and food. And if you don't have the drivers to deliver the food, don't take delivery orders. I even had to tell the driver when he came that I didn't want the order because he left his phone---per the managers request!! He got here 55 minutes after I placed the order, which if you've ever ordered from Jimmy John's is an incredibly long wait time for food from this chain. I will be contacting management Monday to follow up with this issue. The customer service I received tonight was inexcusably rude. I paid for food, left a tip, and expected good service. That's all. That's what I wanted this evening, Jimmy John's manager, In answer to your question. And if you couldn't provide that, you should at least offer to fix...
Read morei will preface this by saying: i love jimmy johns and i order lunch for work here often. employees are typically kind of rude (one guy is always nice to me, miss u) but i don't really care because i work customer service and i understand it isn't a fun experience. but this experience hurt my feelings! i placed my order at 4 to be delivered at 5. around 4:40 i was told my order was on the way. i called the store at 5:15 because i get a limited lunch break and i felt like i planned accordingly, the woman who answered was super rude as soon as she picked up the phone and made me feel dumb for calling, like how dare i expect the store to know what's going on with an order. once my order arrived, 18 mins after i expected it, the guy was also immediately mean to me! it took me about 2 minutes to walk from the store i work at to the front of the mall, and without even saying hi he tells me that i should really change the details of my order to specify which store i work at because i shouldn't be leaving him waiting. if his tone wasn't so harsh i wouldn't have felt offended, but it felt like he was really bothered by the 2 minutes i kept him it when i felt like not making the delivery driver find my store would be much easier for everyone involved. the mall was super crowded too. also if i hadn't been waiting for so long i would've understood more. i've had drivers just sit in their car and wait for me and that's totally cool! maybe wear a jacket if it's cold and you plan out getting out! overall a stressful experience that made me feel guilty for expecting a...
Read moreI haven't ordered from Jimmy John's for 6 years ever since one of their drivers totaled my car (he was on the clock too) but I thought I would give them a chance since the new caprese salami sandwich sounded really good. I ordered it as an unwich because I can't have bread. I also ordered extra balsamic and extra onions, in addition to light oil and light mayo. What did I get? No mozzarella, no balsamic, barely 3 slices of tomato, no oil, no basil/oregano, some mayo, some salami, and a small amount of onions. Suffice it to say, I was very disappointed. It just wasn't good because it was missing most of the ingredients. On the flip side, I ordered a sandwich for my husband with one add-on and light mayo. His was correct! Why was mine so messed up? Honestly, this experience was so bad that I don't think I'll order again for 6 more years. Do better,...
