I want to first preface this by saying that this was only my second experience at this location, and my first visit was nothing like this. However, my second time around was honestly very frustrating. My group of seven made a reservation for 5:30 PM for a birthday meal, and we were seated exactly at 5:30 on the dot. While they were on time, it did make our group a bit anxious as we waited, especially as the time got closer and we worried they might seat us late. Our drinks were taken promptly, and our food orders shortly after. However, they took their time bringing out the biscuits and a martini that one of us ordered. The martini itself was missing the brownie bite it was supposed to come with, which at first didn’t seem like a big deal before the food came out. Then, our food took about an hour to arrive. I don’t know about you, but waiting an hour for food feels excessive to me. On top of that, one of our sides never arrived, and after our meals were served, the waiter just never checked on us again. I had to flag him down just to get our checks. Not only was an item completely missing, but my Shrimp Alfredo was also disappointing—the shrimp looked, felt, and tasted undercooked, and the Alfredo pasta tasted like it had no sauce at all. I had two others in my party taste it, and we all agreed it just tasted like plain, wet noodles. How do I know the shrimp was undercooked? Because I also ordered the shrimp scampi, which was cooked just fine, AND another person in my party also ordered the shrimp Alfredo and had no issues with it. Overall, it was a series of small issues that made the experience frustrating. I understand that mistakes happen, but the fact that our server never checked on us and we had to ask for the missing item to be taken off the bill felt like something that could have easily been avoided. Had our table been checked up on at all it may have given us a chance to have our issues fixed, even if it took an ENTIRE HOUR for them to serve our food. We waited an hour for food that was both missing an item and poorly prepared, and instead of checking in, our table seemed like an afterthought until we flagged the server down. In the end, we left over an hour and a half after being seated, dealing with all of...
Read moreI haven’t had Red Lobster in over ten years, so when we were invited out to dinner with some family here I was excited. We arrived Sunday evening around 5:50pm to get a table for eight and were told we would have to wait 30-40 minutes. It was expected so we didn’t mind at all, and we actually had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. While we waited in the lobby, we overheard multiple employees being snarky and inappropriate. The hostess appeared very friendly to the customers, but the waiters and waitresses didn’t seem to like her very much and proceeded to curse to the hostess as she walked away in front of me and my fiancé loud enough that they knew we’d hear. After we were finally seated, we were greeted with two very stressed waiters/waitresses that warned us ahead of time about the large party in the other room who were slowing down the rest of the restaurants meals. Again, we weren’t in a hurry so I didn’t mind to wait. We waited over an hour for our meals as we watched four other booths get seated and served their meals before us. We continued to overhear employees say innapropriate things under their breath during the dinner. I ordered the chicken tacos, they were good but not warm. My salad also came with a hair in it, wasn’t a huge deal and I moved on. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and steak meal, but was told they were out of the shrimp so they’d substitute with prawns. He obliged and then was served just two prawns, instead of four shrimp. They were larger, but we didn’t feel like it was equivalent as a substitute, especially after we waited so long for the meal. Someone else at our table substituted more fries instead of a salad, they were served a very small handful of fries. We hoped someone would receive larger portions (extra prawns/extra fries) and/or a discount/coupon. Our waiter was Austin, he was flustered but he was great. I didn’t catch the waitresses name but she was very sweet and also apologetic about the evening. I really didn’t mind to wait, especially because our servers were nice about it, but the other employees that cursed around us and a toddler made the experience a bad one. We will not be back to...
Read moreI usually never write bad reviews for any place but this time I feel I need to. I placed a order AND paid online. I received a time (8:34 to be exact) to pick up my order so my husband and I drove across town to make sure we were there on time. We parked in the curbside pickup parking space and called the number to let them know we had arrived and the lady on the phone said they were waiting on the biscuits and she would bring our order out in just a minute. A couple of minutes later the vehicle beside us get a order and starts to drive away when they suddenly come back and start going through their bag. After 15 more minutes the lady returns to the neighboring car and they tell her they received the wrong order. We call back inside and they tell us that suddenly they have no record of our order at all. She then gets the manager on the phone who also says there is no record of our order. We told her what the First Lady said and her reply was, “yes, she tells everyone that we are just waiting on the biscuits” (WHAT??!!) so anyway, we give her the list of items from the order, the pickup confirmation information, the total we paid and the time we were told to pick up our order and she says we have gone to the wrong store. By now, my husband and I are both furious and he just wants his money returned so we can leave. The manager then decides she will appease us and give us our food and a refund. My personal fear was that the food the couple beside us returned would be redistributed to us so I told her I didn’t want it. She assures us that they wouldn’t do that so I agree. 15 minutes later she arrives with the food and the refund and has the audacity to tell us that if we had told her the “right name” they could have found it!! I ORDERED ONLINE!! I was never asked for a name!! They only required the order information and the payment information..This ordeal took a SOLID HOUR!! I really hate this because until today, this was one of my husband’s favorite restaurants. I guess now I need to learn how to make homemade shrimp...
