“Fear the fro “ That came from the Chardon Hilltoppers to high school championship in a row high school football Ohio team. I translate this to making connections with people when I said do you know the difference between an FRO HALF FRO And a AFRO lol serious My opinionated answer came from years of creating dialogue, listening to how we all get along conversations with people like this one. It was so amazing to hear his answer after four visits to our table or so. He gave his opinion I loved his answer. It was just like. My opinion. A personality and a smile is the most important sound in any language obviously Austin has it immediately. He brought energy to our table. My friend had a really bad headache, but I just happen to be visiting them. I am a trucker and this was opportunity to have a moment of time. Austin instantly continued into conversation with me while I was trying to get into his mind to have some fun. He passed the quiz in my opinion lol. Things aren’t always as they seem in our country. We had a life or two and enjoyed a fabulous meal. I even let him choose my meal. He was surprised when I kept saying surprise me surprise me. He gave me the Hardee’s meal with the lowest amount of carbs. Thank you, Austin. I told his auntie how special he was as a server and a representation of this fine restaurant. A lot going on in this little shopping center peace on you today and every day and may the good Lord take your liking to you thank you Austin. Austin has the personality and the smile is the most important sound in any language I say but I got that from a combination of Dale Carnegie principles.

I was very intrigued to try this Thai place because of other reviews saying it was good. I was sadly disappointed. First off they were either under staffed or could not keep track of which guests had arrived before others. We were seated quickly but our order was not taken for almost 15mins. Our order took almost 30mins later to arrive at our table. The place was not full or busy. We ordered Spring Rolls which per the menu we would get 5, when they arrived, we got 3. They were egg rolls (fried), not spring rolls (fresh). We mentioned this to the waitress, and she stated that the restaurant didn't get spring rolls, this was what they had. No apologies or any normal courtesy of a messed up order. How about if someone orders something and you don't have it, say so; then I could order something else. Don't bring me a different dish and call it good. We also ordered Panang Curry and Drunken Noodles both should have been fairly spicy, they were barely spiced at all. Sadly, the curry was super watery and didn't coat the veggies or chicken at all. The drunken noodles were mostly noodles and they were not the right kind of wide noodles either. Wholly a not good experience, I would not recommend this place. Move along to some where better, with courteous wait staff and better food.

Planet Thai is tucked into one of those strip malls that seem designed for great ethnic food, and it lives up to that setting. We ordered takeout, and the service side of things was smooth and efficient. The staff had our food ready right at the time we requested, which made pickup quick and easy. As for the food, everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, but the spice levels didn’t match what we ordered. We asked for Thai Hot (a level 5) across the board. What we got was inconsistent: the drunken noodles landed closer to a 2, the curry rice about a 3, and the Thai fried rice maybe a 3.5—but only because we added extra jalapeños. For those who love real heat, you’ll want to be clear and firm about your expectations when ordering. The appetizers were a high point. The crab rangoon was excellent, crisp and creamy, easily one of the better versions we’ve had in Lexington. The fried wontons paired with plum sauce were also solid, though the sauce consistency made it hard to tell if it was house-made. Either way, it tasted fresh and original. Overall, Planet Thai is a solid choice for good, flavorful Thai food in Lexington. Just know you may need to insist on the spice level if you want it truly hot.

Wow, don't know what's happened to this place, but service and quality have really gone downhill. We were shown to our table, and waited for service. First one waitress came, then left and never came back. Then a waiter showed up and said they usually "share" tables... what ?? Then he brought the drinks and left for about 15 minutes. No plates, napkins, or silverware were brought, even after they brought out our appetizer. We waited and finally my mother stopped someone and said... :"We need plates, silverware, and napkins." I mean, we actually had to ask for this stuff. After about 30 minutes, they bring out one dish, then after another 5 mins there's another dish, and finally after another 10 mins my own meal comes out, and the waitress was in such a hurry she practically threw the dish on the table. So after everyone else is finished, I can finally start my own meal. I've ordered my dish before, and first thing I noticed was the portion was significantly less. Then my mother's was just fair according to her, and the other party's was just OK. My mother talked to the owner and told her all this. And in the meantime, the waitress behind the register acted so surprised that we were saying the service had been horrible. Little did she know she had been a part of the experience (after all, she almost dumped a plate of food on my...

I am sitting here eating this monstrosity as we speak. Ladies and gentlemen, you must understand that this is not a Thai restaurant. What we have here is a th restaurant. They don’t deserve the full title of Thai.

Where to start?

Upon entering the establishment, duty called and I was hurried off the the restroom. It was disgusting with a horrible smell that turned my stomach. But I said I’ll hurry up and eat something anyways.

I ordered the spring rolls and crab Rangoon. While the spring rolls are the only positive thing to this review. It wasn’t enough to save them from this verbal assault.

The Thai tea was actually good because of the flavor. But I digress.

For my main, I ordered the basil fried rice and when I say horrible…. I ordered it extra spicy. It came to me with minimal flavor and tasted as if I came from a box. Veggies were undercooked and tasted like a rubber tire in my mouth.

Not only did I order food, but my wife, sister, and brother-in-law. All had horrible food and bad reviews.

Overall, this was a terrible experience and I will not be returning to this poor excuse for Thai food. Way better options in Lexington than this. I have been to many Thai restaurants and this has no Thai taste.

Fix your issues. As a matter of fact, just throw the whole establishment in the trash like your food. Now my...
