Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Lexington

I love Lee's for there sides, there green beans are awesome, and the rest of sides I have to get my chicken from Grimes They have a awesome 3 piece chicken meal deal every day. Wednesday is the day to go the special, 3 piece chicken meal. I wish they would hire friendly people who work there take your order,ok I got more information I now believe this Lee's famous recipe is the worst in town,they don't have any good help, and now you have to check your carry out bag I got short ed two side orders of mashed potatoes, so people check your bag every time ,I am glad I go. only one time week!!!.if this keeps happening ,i am not going at all anymore.well it happen again this week the order got mess up again, and the girl at the counter, that takes your order is as friendly as a bad cold and don't care what you get in your bag! ,people check your order ,they don't care. This Lee's famous recipe needs to close up .I see they took my advice and close all three,they were dirty inside,bathrooms and carpet. Tonight after working my two jobs, all I wanted was a fresh Lee's chicken sandwich. Instead what I was presented with, after paying $5.29 for just the sandwich, was anything but that. The sandwich I got was cold, hard, smelled and tasted like fish. I promptly spit out my first bite and took the sandwich back. The doors were locked, so I had to stand in the drive thru line. I presented the sandwich and the issue, to which the workers laughed and thought it was funny. The manager said "we are out of chicken patties, so we're gonna make it with fresh chicken strips". The manager gave me the freshly made sandwich and quickly shut the window. I walked away believing the manager was a man of his word, and made things right, my mistake. I get into my car, open the box, take a bite of my "fresh" sandwich and to my horror the chicken strips were worse than the chicken patty. There were two strips and they were hard, cold, and the meat inside was like dry chicken jerky. Clearly this manager had no intent on making it right, nor was he interested in doing his job well. So, frustrated I did the only thing I knew to do, I threw it to garbage where it belonged and I am out $5.29 for a product I didn't even get to enjoy. Waited in line in the drive thru on the second day of the grand opening. Waited anywhere from 45-50 minutes in line. The menu looked very updated and the person taking my order was very nice. Got my food (which was very hot) and waited till I got to my apartment to chow down. I’ve ate at many Lee’s Famous Recipes before (from Richmond, to a couple in southeast KY, as well as northeastern KY and the older Lee’s that closed up at this very location last year), but the workers who prepared and made the food I bought…. Seriously… absolutely nothing could’ve made it anymore perfect! The potato wedges and chicken dippers tasted so fresh, they placed a cover over the food in the container so the mashed potatoes wouldn’t get all over the insides (the mashed potatoes were really hot as well), and the biscuit I bit into… oh goodness.. I know when you usually bite into a biscuit or a roll the first thoughts are.. Ah, its good, just a biscuit. This one, however, that was apart of my meal, you could literally tell that someone took a brush and buttered the batch mine was in. Something that I could only remember experiencing from another Lee’s many many years ago.
