Farm Market has authentic crafted Mexican food that is memorable, a small piece of food heaven.
When you arrive, it feels as if youāve traveled through a portal into Mexico. Welcome to your vacation. The atmosphere is magical and the staff is a family which creates an incredibly comfortable and welcoming experience.
My partner and I ate at Farm Market on our way back to Asheville, a foodie destinationāwhen we got home we couldnāt wait to go back to Lexington, for their tamales! Literally, one weekend we were like, ok let's just drive there for the night, eat tamales and drive home tomorrow.
We recently did go back with the whole family on the long weekend. I called and made a reservation, and everything was perfect. Their guacamole is holy! Everything on the menu is fantastic-- we tried everything! Try the flan, eat the flan.
I hide the left over tamales in the vegetable drawer to protect them (savior) for lunch the next day. Completely unnecessary ... and totally understandable.
They have a selection of Mexican sodas, beautiful craft art, and very well priced outdoor potted flowers.
Farm Market is filled with joy that radiates into their food and dining experience.
Iāve traveled around the world, and this is one of my favorite restaurant ever. I dream about their food. A total bonus they are 100% Gluten Free!
They also have the coolest Pinatas I've ever seen. Basically, if I could have a meal with anyone dead it would be Frida, and it would be at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm from S. Texas where there is a small chain that specializes in tamales. Delia's is a known commodity in S. Texas and while mainly found in the Rio Grande Valley, they extend as far north as San Antonio. I've been in Lexington for some time and many people talked about this place, so I went in with the highest of hopes. First thing, if you are from Texas, they are EXPENSIVE. At four dollars a tamale you'd expect these to be the best ever. When I mentioned that I was from S. Texas the person behind the counter said that I'm probably used to tamales for a dollar a piece, however those are cheap and hers were the best. Again, I went into this with the highest of hopes, however everything about this was disappointing to me. The tamales were either rushed to where the ingredients in the masa weren't mixed properly, or I don't know what. Either way if you are from Texas and are used to the local tamales that we would get down there, skip this place as they're overrated and expensive for no other reason than they are one of the few places in town you can actually get tamales. From the price, to the atmosphere (there was no table service and I had to wait 10 minutes before they could even take my order as there was only one person working there at the time), to the actual food, this was nothing but a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was amazing! The restaurant from the outside made me think it was just a walk in, order, and leave joint.. boy was I wrong!!
As you walk in youāll notice the authentic, hand made decorations, and authentic Spanish artwork. The chairs are hand made / hand decorated, and itās an amazing atmosphere.
Itās one single girl working, and the whole time youāre eating youāll see that sheās making more authentic artwork and clothing with her sowing machine⦠the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Thereās three tables with multiple chairs to eat in, and a very welcoming place.
Food comes out in 5-10 minutes, and sheās very welcoming.. let us look around the place for a while and take photos! I had the chicken tacos, and fland and the Mexican coke and it was all amazing. Itās not like a taco truck, itās a whole different taste, but in a good way. Iām used to eating JPS taqueria truck- which has by far the best tacos Iāve ever had.. but when I tried this place my jaw physically dropped. I tasted flavors Iāve never tasted before, and I wish I could put how I felt in words but I donāt think I can. Itās worth every penny. Today Iām going to get beef tacos, tamale, and...
