Maurice's BBQ Piggie Park — Restaurant in Lexington

6/16/23 lunch — After we ordered and sat down, we noticed chaos in the kitchen with manager talking down to all the employees. Later, we noticed commotion at the register with multiple customers wanting a refund for not getting food after waiting a very long time. Much later, we determined we were in the same boat and asked for a refund. The cashier couldn’t do the transaction and ask the manager to help her and she stormed out of the kitchen. She pulled up the order and said “You’re paying for your drinks?”. My wife said “You’ve got to be kidding!”. The manager proceeded with the full refund while angry and never once said I’m sorry. I can’t remember a more awful restaurant experience. The worst part is how awful she was to her employees the entire time we were there. One elderly lady employee twice said “You don’t have to yell at me”. The only thing unfair about my one star rating is we never got our food, so can’t say if good or not. Hopefully just a bad day, but for sure we won’t be back and...

I truly can’t make this up. I went through the drive thru around 8:30 pm 4-19-24. I ordered a jr Joe bbq Sandwich and. Small order of fries. I drove around, paid. I checked my bag and realized the French fries was not even 1/2 full. I questioned the cashier, she agreed that it should be full. I ask her to check with the manager to find out what the problem was. She told me he said that “there are just enough fries for me and the car behind me and that we had to split the amount of fries that were left” I was furious, really? I paid for a full order not part of an order Proceeded to say they could either refund half my money or complete my order of fries. They did actually end up giving me more fries. But I don’t think I’ll ever go back to this particular Maurices again.. I never did see the manager. The cashier was very sweet. This was totally not her fault Food cost too much money to be cheated. I just glad I checked my food...

My family and I ate Sunday lunch here today. We have eaten Maurice's for YEARS and have always loved it. This was a really disappointing visit. It took longer than normal for us to get our food. The hash, which has always been my favorite was barely edible and the rice was completely uncooked to the point of being crunchy...could not eat it. The pulled pork was delicious but cold when I received my plate. To make matters worse, the employee in the kitchen was having a constant verbal altercation with front counter employee the whole time we were there....loud enough for entire dining room to hear. All of the staff seemed confused as to what they were doing. And to top it off, the sweet tea wasn't sweet and the coke was out of order. The dining room was not clean. Pretty sure it's been quite a while since the floors have seen a broom or mop. Wish I had my $65 back. ...
