The food here is great and its a nice healthier to-go option. The only dissatisfaction about the business that I felt needed to be shared is that they are inconsistent about their hours and a certain employee who makes you feel like a burden. Like most people, my family checks online to see what time a restaurant closes. There have been a few times, like tonight, when we arrived at the restaurant a half hour before closing and met an employee who seemed disgusted and annoyed by our presence. On those few occasions we have always asked if they were still open or still serving food, as we notice that he is clearly annoyed by us. He always replies with "we close in 5 mins" no matter the time, and when asked about being served food he says "possibly". I understand that we could have avoided the conversation with the employee altogether by not speaking to him, but in our family it is customary to speak to those who are providing us a service. As we still enjoy the food here we will continue coming to this restaurant, but im sure others customers would also not enjoy receiving this kind of attitude by...
Read moreI love poké but if this was my first experience I'd be somewhat disappointed in, but I'll start with the pros! They have a wide verity of healthy options, lots of sauces, crunchies and veggies. The place was clean minus a slightly off Odor. Besides just Bowles you can get other options like wraps and what not. But now for the cons... I'd say the workers might have been newish or just kinda antisocial but a quite environment that could be lifted with just a little more conversation or sound. They were "out" of a few key proteins but after I picked mine more was brought out so that was a very upsetting that I could have just waited a few moments to get what I wanted. Other poké places I have been to the veggies tend to add a fresh crunch to the bowl but I felt as if things such as the seaweed and my fish protein, were just lacking. So in closing, I am not sure if this would be somewhere I come back to or even recommend so I'd say give it a shot but don't hate all poké if you happen to not...
Read moreMy fiancée and I love poke! We thought it’d be nice to get it one more time before we get married on Saturday. We had never been to Miyako before, but we were very disappointed. I’m from Marietta, Georgia and there is a place that we go every week there. My fiancée is from Kentucky and we thought this place looks good and it has good reviews. We took our first bite and noticed something tasted very fishy (and not in a good way). We think it was either the salmon or the tuna, we aren’t really sure, but something was not good. The tuna was very chewy, and not tender and melt in your mouth like the quality I would expect in poke. The imitation crab I could tell was very low quality (and just tasted really salty). I’m glad they had sushi rice, and many toppings, but overall I was very disappointed. I love to eat...and it’s very hard for me to waste food, but I did not finish my poke bowl today. My fiancée couldn’t eat even...
