Biscuit Daddies — Restaurant in Lexington

Wonderful experience! We have been having Sunday brunch at Wild Eggs for years but just wanted to try something different and local. It’s over on Virginia Ave. in a small strip center by UK campus and for the money I can’t believe this place wasn’t packed with students yet. We enjoyed the Hangover Special and the Big Blue Hot Brown, both were hearty and delicious! The sausage gravy is perfect and of course the biscuits were fluffy and oven fresh. Don’t sleep on the Cheesy Hash Browns, you’ll throw rocks at Cracker Barrel. We were warmly greeted by the owner who prepared our meals with love and enthusiasm! I’ve heard so many great things about this place from the GF community here in Lexington, I was just never available during their business hours. I had an early morning appointment before work and was in their parking lot at 7:30! (They don’t open until 8.) The owner noticed me out there and came outside to tell me he was happy to have me come in right then! All I can say is this place is as close to GF heaven as you can get! I had the biscuits & sausage gravy—incredible! The owner is from Prestonsburg, so his GF gravy tastes just like the kind my eastern KY mama makes! I can’t wait to try some of their sweet GF biscuits! We went to go try the new spot around the corner we placed a small order of biscuits and gravy and sausage egg and cheese biscuit to go the staff was very rude and served other guest before us there were multiple people waiting for there food that they ordered over a hour ago we waited for 40 mins before asking for a refund when we asked the cashier was very rude and asked was it cause it’s gluten free we said no we ordered regular food as if that should even matter this place was very slow rude and unprofessional definitely will not be back this place won’t be open for very much longer I’m afraid DONT WASTE YOUR TIME or your hard earned money this place will...
