Phillips Market — Restaurant in Lexington

I pass by Phillip’s almost every day but had never given them a try until recently. I will be back. I ordered meatloaf but unfortunately, they were out. I was looking at the menu and the friendly worker behind the counter suggested “Country Fried Steak”. I decided to give it and it was delicious. The portion size was huge, especially in comparison to the cost of the meal. I had read reviews that it was unclean, but it looked fine too me. Fresh made to order food, very fair pricing I had a hotdogs with chili, & cheese & some Mac n cheese, my husband had the catfish sandwich. This place is a real people place. You feel welcomed and they'll make you anything you could imagine. This is my favorite place to have my lunch break, its an authentic place and you can tell that what's being cooked matters to them. Don't be snobby and enjoy this place. Nothing like it in around. A much needed break from the chaos that is Lexington!
