Great bones and potential here. Nice stage for live music and plenty of TVs for games. But the service was awful. They weren't rude or anything. In fact, they were quite pleasant when they stopped by. But we had to beg for drinks all night. We had to ask for silverware. It's not like one of us was missing silverware. Literally, the whole group of 6 had no silverware when our food came out. Then we had to ask for a spoon for chili. All of which was given promptly and courteously, but why on earth did we have to ask? The food was OK at best. Shamrocks has been making most of these same recipes for years. The roast beef on my hot pub melt seemed more like it was boiled. The bread and sauce were good. Tater tots needed maybe another minute, and honestly, there were too many. Cook less and get them right. Finally, I am firmly of the belief that it should be a state law that all high top tables and bars have a foot rail. The high top table chairs we sat in were intensly uncomfortable, and my foot was asleep within minutes. All in all, i hope they work it out. It's a cool place they just need a little more...
Read moreWe were really excited to try this restaurant out. The menu looked fabulous. We loved the idea of an Irish style sports bar. We walked in the place was ok. We were seated and our order was taken in a timely fashion, so far so good. We waited what seemed to be an extremely long time for our food considering the restaurant wasn’t that busy. 40 minutes + for sandwiches. When we got our food it looked great the onion rings were good that’s why I gave them a 2 star rating but the Reuben was nothing like I have ever had. The bread was brittle like crackers and must have been an end slice on the loaf because one price of the bread was half the size as the other sandwich. My wife got the patty melt and it was very similar. The patty was so small there was more crunchy brittle bread than there was patty. I tried it and it wasn’t anything I would recommend. My son got a butcher block something, and he said it was pretty good. The price was definitely too high for the quality of food. I would not recommend. It’s probably a pretty fun place to hang out for a sports event with brews...
Read moreBeen coming here the better part of 12 years. Don’t live around here anymore, but stop by sometimes on the way back thru town. Today was so disappointing, I felt a review was needed, and I typically don’t do this. Server was nice and attentive, building was hot, again (we were just here a few weeks ago and had a better food experience, but it was also hot then, (guess the AC has been out for a while). Beer — also hot probably due to the refrigeration struggling to work in a hot building.
Southwest egg rolls were pretty good. Cheese dip had a piece of plastic in it and was greasy and gross. Wings were horrible. Idk how you make chicken wings dry by frying them, but I choked down 6 to not waste money and left. They did give our money back for the plastic cheese dip. Sad to see a local place like this be this bad and go downhill. I hope they turn it around. Very good chance we won’t be back when coming...
