Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Nicholasville

We did return and service was great, it was a different server one who understood customer service. We will return.

I'm sure the food is still good, but our experience on 1/8/2022 about 8:30 PM was less than satisfactory. The server asked what we wanted to drink, then proceeded to just take her time cleaning a table and the drink area before even bringing us our drinks so finally after 5 minutes or so she was finally getting our drinks but at that point my husband was feeling put off at the very leisurely customer service, it was just us and one other table so no excuse so we just walked out since we didn't feel like our business was wanted or needed. I have worked in food service in the past and worked jobs where I was a tipped employee and always put the customers first. Not sure why the service fail, seems being a tipped employee the young lady would have been on top of it but she really wasn't. We will come back because service has been good before and I like to think it was just a bad day, but I really do hope whoever waits on us the next time is more attentive I generally tip decent and know how it can be but seriously...

We absolutely love this place! We eat here at least twice a week. We'll tonight, on our way home, we noticed the order wasn't quite right. The fries weren't done. The cheese on them wasn't even melted and the hot dogs didn't look to appetizing... So we took it back in to see if we could get it remade. The manager lady blamed us. Yes, she said it was our fault that it was "slopped" in the box, bread smashed, soggy and one looked like half of the bun was missing. She said "you must live far away" We live less than 2 miles away from brannon crossing. She was Implying that it was our fault. This is poor management & I hope this person and problem is addressed with a little retraining on how to deal with polite customers who have an issue. She did remake them & they looked and tasted great, but only after giving us a really bad attitude.

Skyline chili is a family friendly environment that is welcoming to every person that walks into the doors. I visited this location after a movie night with friends, and had a great time. I was greeted with smiles, had a great customer service experience, and the food was delivered fast. This location is very clean, and they are very well organized and managed. The menu is small which makes it easier to choose what you want to eat especially if you have little children.

This space is very important to me because I am from Cincinnati, where skyline chili is from. It is a comfort food and place for me when I am back home, and I go there with my family a lot; so having a location in Lexington is a way I can feel a little bit at home.

Whether you are going here with friends, family, or alone, this place is friendly to all, and I would highly recommend anyone to try it...
