An afternoon at Zaxby’s!

This place serves the best Signature Chicken Sandwiches! I have had 4 from this location in the past 5 months and those sandwiches are AWESOME!!!

It was the first of the month and I was cashing checks to go on… when I saw that sign hanging on the side of Zaxby’s. “The Signature Chicken Sandwich… The Chicken Sandwich WAR is not over…” I pulled up in the drive-thru and ordered 2 Signature sandwiches (combos with fries and Cokes) 1 for me and 1 for my boy. I also ordered a 1 kidz fingerz for my other son. I pulled around with no cars in front or behind me, it was about 3 PM in the afternoon. They smiled and took my payment and asked me to pull forward to SPOT # 1. I though you got to be kidding. Then I remembered they make you wait here.

I drank through my big-gulp cup that was full of ice up to the top. By this time it had been 15 minutes since I paid them. I walked inside and gave myself a re-fill. I was going to ask them what was taking so long, but there were 3 young men in the kitchen and 1 young man on a register. They all seemed to be having a good time, cutting up, but yet still fulfilling orders. I thought to myself. They are not stressed… this must be a cool place to work. “Why should I be stress? It’s only been 20 mins. Besides it only fast food. I went back out to my van, but this time my mouth was watering thinking about that sandwich. I knew they would be coming around the corner with those Signature Sandwiches, and when they did, I about lost it. I was overwhelmed with JOY! They remembered me. They remembered my order. They made me the freshest food (one will ever get from a fast food joint at 3 PM on a Monday afternoon).

The sandwich and fries were amazing and worth the 20 - 25 min wait. The chicken was big and juicy and flakey! The bun was warm and toasty. The pickles and Zack’s sauce were place just right. Not too little, no too much! I about ran off new circle rd. trying to finish my sandwich.

The moral of the story is this. Treat that Zaxby’s location like a sit-down restaurant. If you order through the drive-thru stay and eat there (In the parking lot… That sandwich is too good to take on the road!) Dine with your bride over there on the Northside. B/c it’s not fast food. They got the Signature Chicken Sandwich and it’s ALWAYS POPPIN! You’re just going to be waiting on it for...

I love Zaxby's, absolutely love it. Went in the drive thru placed my order, which included one order of 10 boneless chicken wings with no sauce. These 10 boneless wings were for my dogs, which is why I wanted no sauce.

I pull up to the window to pay, hand over my card, get my drinks and card back, and am asked to pull up to spot #1. I wait in spot #1 for about 15 minutes before my order is brought out. The employee hands me the bags and walks off, doesn't wait to see if I'm satisfied with what I received. So, I go through the bags and realize that my no sauce boneless wings are actually bone in wings with buffalo sauce. So I get out of the car and talk to the same employee, who was bringing someone else's food out, and tell her it's wrong. I again explain, 10 boneless wings with no sauce.

I wait about 10 - 15 minutes when the employee brings out a bag with my order in it, and aga5just walks off before I can check the contents. I open the container and find a 3 piece chicken strip meal, with fries and toast. So I laugh and again get out of my vehicle, but this time I walk into the restaurant. I walk to the counter and am greeted by the manager by being asked if the order he has on a tray is mine. I say no, and wait for him to find the customer it belongs to. I then tell him this is the second time this order was wrong. He told the kitchen we needed a 10 piece boneless with no sauce, and within two minutes I have my food and I'm finally on my way home.

I give 3 stars purely because the food was, as always, great. The service at this Zaxby's is lacking. I don't know what happened, because it used to be a good location. Maybe I caught them...

Zaxby’s New Circle Rd. Lexington, Ky. Is absolutely the worst Zaxbys around this town. I drive for a living so probably 3 to 4 times a week I stop at Zaxbys for lunch or dinner then sometimes just a snack. That’s what I did today I ordered fries with NO SEASONINGS. I always know when I request those it’s going to take a minute but they are sooooo worth the wait!!!!! So this is what I did today although by the time I get to the window the boy has my order bagged and ready! I said these are No Seasoning correct? He replied yes. I thought how strange come to find out evidently they were fries left over from lunch! You know how restaurants ahead of time drop the fries to a certain cook level and pull them up and let them hang in the basket over the grease until an order comes in. That’s great at peak times but 2:30pm in the afternoon I would have thought the lunch fries would have been discarded!! NOT MY LUCK! These had soaked so much grease you could see through the ones that were not burnt and they were only lukewarm. Never again will I stop at that Zaxbys again. Had to drive to the nearest trash can and discard them sadly because didn’t realize it until pulled out of parking lot. Sad! You do not get what you pay for or what you want these days. Just depends if the fast food worker is in the mood to WORK or NOT! ( must have been my case today unfortunately)!!!! Ugh 😑 WOULD LOVE TO POST THE PIC I TOOK OF THE FOOD BUT IT WILL NOT LET ME FOR...
