On June 21, 2020 my family and I was traveling from Tennessee back home in Michigan we wanted some Mexican food so we googled a place close to where we were which was here... We walked in,the biggest party that was in the restaurant at the time (party of 6.)We were sitter by the manger. We were sat in front of the window, in clear view of where the waiters and hostess area was. There was a male and a female who for a while watched us as we sat without anybody coming over to greet and get us started with even water. Three others smaller groups of people (parties of 2) came in an was sat in more secluded booths, they were served their drinks and had chips and salsa brought three different tables that came after us! No one still came over as we looked around to get someone’s attention no one looked or stopped to take our order we realized maybe a little late but after 20 minutes and no one came we got up and left, Before we did we mentioned it to the manager who sat us that no ever came over as we walked out . We were outside trying to see somewhere else to go a waitress came out to say she didn’t see us even though we were in front of the window she kept walking pass and she said the music was loud even though others had been sat and served with the music volume being loud then she said if y’all want y’all can come back in we respectfully declined.. The only difference between us and EVERYONE IN THERE was WE WERE THE ONLY AFRICAN AMERICANS THERE!! It was a real hard pill to swallow because they weren’t “white “ not saying it would have been right to be treated that way but these were “brown” people who made us feel like we was as good as them !! So maybe if your “ black “African American and want Mexican food you should find a better place to spend your money !!! Especially since this was Mexican Seafood quite a stretch but we was willing to try something different but thank GOD !!!!
FYI we were sat were at that table to the right of the lit...
Read moreMyself and my girlfriend went in last night. After reading a few reviews se decided to go in and give it a whirl, unfortunately what we were greeted woth was a far cry from ehat others have posted. The service was less than sub par, the food was bland and the overall experience was less than the price we paid.
First, we entered and it took us a moment to be seated, the hostess seemed lost in a way, when we were seated the music was overwhelmingly loud to the point I could not hear my girlfriend literally 2 feet away from me.
Second, when ordering the food, I asked about the salmon or the steak, which the server thought was better. She could not understand me and said "okay, steak fajita" afyer I said no and explained I was asking her opinion a few times.
Third, when we received our food it was again, sub par. My girlfriend got a shrimp, cheese and bacon dish which was okay at best. Shrimp was over cooked, bacon was under. Cheese was good. I, myself ended up with the steak fajita, and it was not well made. Under seasoned steak, which had zero tenderness to it made it rough to get through, after putting it on a tortilla the entire piece would come with the first bite so I just had peppers and corn tortilla left. The only high note was the rice, it was very nice. The fried and salad on the other hand tasted like frozen kroger brand.
Fourth, when getting the check I had to get up, and go request it after the server said she would bring it, and right after began bussing other tables, and I ended up paying 50 dollars for a side of guac, 2 entrees and 1 drink.
Overall, my experience was very meh. Bad waitress, sub par food and over priced for the quality...
Read moreI was highly recommended to try this place out by my neighbor in Georgetown... He referred to it as fine dining Mexican food.
We were seated promptly however the waitress was obviously overwhelmed... The first thing you want to do in the restaurant business is to get the drinks out! We must have waited about 15 minutes for 2 Margaritas and another 10 to get guacamole on the table.
The music is definitely too loud to carry on a conversation, i'm glad that we were sitting away from the speakers. If you're going for lunch for a quick bite to eat, HURRY UP AND WAIT!
My mother ordered a Seafood relleno, it was quite tasty... I ordered the steak fajitas. The vegetables for the fajitas where cooked perfectly, the steak however you could have knocked someone upside the head and given them a concussion, it was so overcooked and about 50% gristle.
If you're not in a hurry and you want some Mexican seafood it's worth a try. I guess it'll be a hit or a Miss as to whether you get good service that given day. Based upon my only experience and my first impression I might add. The menu consists of about 95% seafood!!!
If I could rate it at TWO AND A HALF STARS, that is where I would have to place my rating on my first experience of this restaurant.
Regardless I still tiped the waitress 20% reluctantly... Stay away from the 5% dishes of the 95% seafood choices on the menu. I sincerely hope your experience...
