Aracely's Bakery — Restaurant in Leyden Township

This place is a nightmare, they don't even deserve 1 star!!! I place an order with a 24 hour notice and paid a deposit! My order was supposed to be ready at 11:30 which was a $100.00 order of 51 tamales ( that big of an order should have priority)!! I get there at 11:25 and they tell me my order isn't complete yet. They had half of my order sitting on the counter getting cold, who knows how long it was sitting there!! I say OK its only 15 extra minutes, ill wait no problem!! Then the manager Isabella comes out to tell me another 15 minutes on top of that!! 10 minutes later a worker is going to tell me its actually gonna be more than another 15 minutes because somebody burned something!! I ask for a refund and to cancel my whole order including the pastries and pop i just grabbed!! They gave me an attitude for canceling , i ask for the owner's name and the cashier is going to tell me she doesn't know it. Now comes Isabella again to ask why i want the owner's name. I told her because i want him to see how business is being done in his bakery!! Now comes the best part when Isabella is going to say I WAS RUDE for talking over her previously!!! I didn't curse or raise my voice at that point! HOW IS A MANGER GOING TO CALL A CUSTOMER RUDE WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE MY FOOD READY 45 MINUTES AGO WHEN I ORDERED AHEAD!!! I don't know which part got me more mad, the fact that my order wasn't ready or that this so called "manager" is going to call ME RUDE when i was speaking firmly in a normal toned voice!!!! I have been in customer care for 15 years, you do not handle any situation like that!!!! And to top it off i was on my lunch break getting employees at work food which again we ordered ahead of time!!! So i wasted my entire lunch dealing with this, some people at my job didn't even get to eat at all because the terrible business we endured and their lunch time also passed waiting my return!! Never again, i hope they see the lost many unhappy customers from...

Quality of cake I ordered was horrible. I clearly verbally stated that I wanted it made a certain way and I got confirmation that this could be done there with no problem. I also asked if I could get the lady that bakes the cakes there also to be the Only one to make this cake since she was the one that baked my kid's cake last time and this was reassured by two different employees I spoke to that they will tell her. One employee even called her to tell her this in front of us when we returned the following day to speak with her. I was very clear and requested for No type of filling inside layer of cake and I only wanted thin sliced banana fruit exactly the same way I have received previous order of cake in February 2022. I was reassured that it would be made exactly per my request. That wasn't done, lot's of banana pudding was added and huge chunks of banana were added causing the cake to crumble apart when slicing it. I was left with almost the whole cake due to the poor quality lot's of my guests did not like the cake and were very surprised this cake came from the same bakery that the previous cake I ordered in February 2022. The photo image on cake was crooked but that was the least reason of the problem. I have been going here for a while now. This summer i decided to order a cake from here for my sons birthday in july. I ordered the cake about 3 weeks in advance I had to pay a deposit. BUT THE DAY OF MY sons birthday party i went to pick up the cake up that had specifically customized for his theme birthday party. They couldn't find it.... they took a long time to FIND IT. They kept coming out and apologizing, a while later they cake out with a totally different cake., which by the way the sprayed painted on the spot they had the audacity to say they only charged me for the toy mind you i didn't need a toy because i had bought my own because they didnt have the toy i needed. Then i told them thats not the cake i wanted, why was i paying all this money for that i could had my 7 year old do that for his brother. They told me to wait that a supervioser would be right out, he didn't come out. after he knew they messed up my cake he hid in the back and let the employees talk to me i said that this was so unprofessional the day of my sons party. (They obviously didn't care). I had to go find a cake for him luckly i ran to sams club which was way cheaper and not bad at ALL. I DID GET MY REFUND NEVER AGAIN...
