Today was a last time I was shopping at this store. So I wanted to make a chicken soup and because I am not happy with the freshness of the meat in most of the stores I went to Amish Farmers. I bought two chicken corps and some vegetables. I came home and was very excited about the soup and the quality of everything. I opened the chicken corps bag and started washing it. I noticed a horrible smell. Appearantly the chicken I bought was bad. I went back to the store and did not want to make a big deal out of it so I approched the lady who sold me the corps and showed it to her. She smelled it and agreed with me that something is wrong. She went to the back of the store and other lady - supposedly manager came with her. She seemed to be annoyed by my presence. She said the corps are fresh and arrived today and she does not understand what the problem is. They brought different corps that smelled identically. I told them I do not want it because I am cooking for my child and I am not going to risk her health over these ladys' assurance how fresh and great it is. I told them I can take whole chicken from WI but I do not wsnt to be even near the corps. Insted of saying sorry and giving me the product instead of the corps to make up for the bad experience, they charged me 1.75 difference. Also the lady manager was quite unpleasant and annoyed not only to me but also another client who was buying tomatos. She charged him 3.50 for tomatos listed as 3.00 and again insted of being sorry she said that they are 3.50 and someone made a mistake about the price. Well it is not client's problem. Sorry... I was not rude although I could. This man was not rude although he could. Lady manager was. She lost a client for 1.75 and maybe she is happy with her achievement. Congratulations about this kind of Customer Service. People beware! Check what you buy! You are paying double at this store and the quality is less...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is great. Everything I had is fresh and it lasts so much longer than ANY other grocery store. I grew up on a farm in Europe so I KNOW what fruits and veggies should taste like and what texture they should have. I almost gave it a 4 star due to a misunderstanding I had with the lady manager, but I texted the owner and he actually called me.
The staff may seem rude, but I think their main problem is the English language. In hindsight, I think they are hard working and protective of the store. (The manager thought I was spying on their product when I took a picture to see what kind of milk my friend wanted. I don't drink milk- at all.) But as I said, this all got resolved. :)
I hope they stay here, expand but not too much ;) and get some really good cow milk Feta in brine soon.
The owner should be proud. We're lucky to have such a gem in our humble...

They have a way of living their life and are really pleasant when you talk to them and check out. They give you space to shop and welcome all! The baked goods are delicious and the meat fresh and adorable. Youāll find whatās in season along with canned jellies and honey and fresh baked bread everyday. You can even find unpasteurized cows milk for your pets!
This place is refreshing to experience especially now during COVID. Live free and healthy through good nutrition and common sense practices.
