We decided to have breakfast at Garden of Eat'n one Saturday morning after coming across them and noticing their very high rating of 4.9/5 across 250ish reviews. Brisket hash was amongst of their most mentioned dishes and I had decided on that long before we actually arrived. It was a very large cut of brisket, almost like a steak, so not exactly what I'd consider a hash. But it was of nice quality and the flavor was semi smoky, but not overpowering for a breakfast meat. It was served over potatoes, peppers and onions and topped with 2 eggs and cheese. I ordered my eggs over easy, received over medium, but that was fine. We shared an appetizer of pancake coated bacon. Certainly a unique concept, but it may have been deep fried a little too long, as it crumbled easily and the batter was too crunchy to be enjoyable. Our waitress suggested an order of bacon donut holes instead, but we decided otherwise. Her suggestion likely was the correct one. Our server was a young lady who really connected with our 2 year old son and was super friendly. I thought she did a wonderful job. There were also some men running orders out, they seemed nice as well. Other dishes ordered at out table were: French Toast, which was really well done and very much enjoyed. Chicken and Sweet Potato dish that was liked. Note that regular potatoes and sweet potatoes were both used in that dish. My girlfriend pointed out that the regular potatoes were "al dente" and were probably a minute or two from being done. She did enjoy everything else about this order. The restaurant is of fair size. Could easily get 5 or 6 more tables in here. I also feel that the restaurant didnt have a great amount of character or charm or even a cozy or comfortable breakfast diner/restaurant feeling to it. Which I feel is a missed opportunity considering exactly how creative the name is. Also noted was a very large chalkboard that listed at least 10 special dishes plus their soups. I rate my visit here 4 stars which is definied as I "liked" it, which...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Garden Of Eat'n Restaurant last weekend for breakfast, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
We both opted for dishes from their "specials" menu, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. I ordered the red chilaquiles, being a lover of spice, and they certainly delivered on the heat! But beyond the spicy kick, every bite was bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, leaving us feeling fully satisfied and content.
The ambiance of the Garden Of Eat'n is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal. It truly felt like dining in a hidden gem, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Overall, our experience at the Garden Of Eat'n Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. Delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere - what more could you ask for? If you're in the mood for a memorable breakfast or brunch experience, I highly recommend paying them a visit. You won't be...
Read moreLocated at the base of the apartment complex in the middle of Franklin avenue Down Town. Plenty of parking on the street and on the sides of the building. It is easily accessible and it can accommodate for all needs.
At the time we got there, there was plenty of seating and the vibe was easy and calm.
The service was amazing. The server was very attentive and truly made us feel at home. The coffee was amazing and they were quick to offer other services. We ordered a cheese burger, chilaquiles, and some of the best avocado toasts. The chilaquiles had a great crunch, spicy enough, and I topped them off with some steak, but you can do chorizo, sausage, steak, and anything else you can think of.
I had a nice conversation with the owner and we tried a tequila he is seeing to distribute around the city. Paris tequila was smooth and great. Something I wasn’t expecting, but enjoyed greatly.
I recommend you give it a chance. We had a nice lunch and...
