I owe this place an apology for not realizing that I had shown up to order takeout there minutes before they closed for the night. It was my first time ordering from this quaint taqueria, so I didn't know what time they closed and didn't find out about their operational hours until days later, when remembering to write this review and realized how much of an annoyance I may have been, ordering food at the tail end of their shift. But despite that, they still served me, and I am eternally grateful. A thousand pardons to you, Tacos Locos - you absolute hole-in-the-wall gem, and I samurai-bow deeply to you.
Upon entering, I was welcomed warmly by the hostess, who then aided me in ordering a few tacos and a steak burrito on a touch-pad right by their register. Paid then sat off to the side while I waited and admired the many framed photographs and painted artwork on their walls. There were a few patrons seated in the back enjoying their dinners and a gentleman at the flat top cooking and assembling the meals. After a short wait, I was handed my food, which, upon tactile and visual inspection, both looked and felt heavy, which is always promising.
Took the food home and dug right. As sure as God's got sandals, the tacos and burrito were loaded to the gills with well-seasoned and perfectly cooked chicken and steak. Each bite was a wonderful explosion of aromatic spices and garnishes synchronizing together in synergy, with tender frijoles and savory meat working in harmony to complement each delicious component into a whole. It was a very filling meal and...
Read moreMy friends and I had the worst experience with their customer service. We were in town for a convention and we were looking for a place to eat that was close to our lodging. We decided on Tacos Locos. We noticed they were not too busy with Dine-In so we decided to eat there instead of taking it back to the hotel. They had one woman who was the cashier/waiter. She seemed very annoyed with us. I noticed they had three tables with a reserved sign. Being a local, I knew that this place was not a place where they even take reservations considering it is a fast food joint. I asked the cashier if the tables were truly reserved since it was quite empty and she asked back in a rude manner if we were planning to dine-in and I said yes. Then she said go ahead as if she was stressed out that she had to wait on us. After this incident, half our friends decided to take our food back since they felt unwelcomed from her response. The food was ok but definitely not authentic and was even missing key ingredients. Also, one of our friends order was not recorded and took over 45 minutes to get his food and when he got back he realized they didn't even give him the food he ordered. I'd never recommend this fast food joint to anyone who is staying...
