Stopped in to try lunch. Place is very dated, cold and no background music so can hear a pin drop. Servers were having a grand old time and were a bit loud and obnoxious in such a quiet place it was a bit much to listen to. Our server never came back after dropping food off. As a server you are getting paid by the customer, how do you expect good tips or any tip if you can not follow the simplest of server 101 and do the bare minimum? Take order drop food check on customer couple mins later. Apparently our server pictured below, her phone was more important than the 2 customers in the building. We were your only table and had to even ask for the check. This is why you received a $0 tip, we tip based on service as most do. I don’t blame Food on the server or anything else, but the service was awful. Newsflash people eat out for service and convenience. You can’t take either of those away and expect people to come to your establishment when they could just make it themselves for a quarter of the price. Not too many family restuarants with wholesome home-cooked style meals exist anymore so whenever my husband & I stumble across them it's our first choice to eat. The only reason I'm ranking it at a 4star is because the place can use some modern updating. It's interior is a little too dark with the stained wood walls, and the window curtains are quite aged while the carpeting maybe as old as my first born. Let's face it, paint alone can go along way in adding some lift! The bathrooms definitely need some attention as well, last I checked toilet seats run about $20 bucks at Walmart, buy replacements. Yet the kind fast service is enough to bring you back again and the food is certainly delicious! I had a cup of the stuffed pepper soup of the day. There is something about made from scratch food that warms you to your soul. I'd have to say their Chicken n Bisquits has to be a staple meal of theres also, we both had it and it was extraordinary! My only other suggestion would be add carrots, especially glazed, or corn as a side for this dish and it'll be even...

It was quiet for sure with everyone enjoying their food they were also very respectful to each customer that I could see, I had the Open Faced Turkey sandwich smothered in Turkey Gravy with almost perfect mashed potatoes just slightly lumpy but absolutely worth it! Our server was quick, friendly, and helpful. I also had a coffee and even after I was done eating she still offered a refill.

My spouse and I usually order breakfast here to-go with 4 kids 4meals is excellently well priced 1 omelet with hashbrowns and toast, 2 orders or pancakes with eggs and home fries, and the best meal less than $6! 2 eggs, with homefries toast and bacon or sausage! It's my go-to every time. And we order here atleast 6x a month lol Pancakes are massive, fluffy and absolutely delicious!

I do wish you had a diabetes friendly option, for example sugar free syrup and jelly, Protein prominent dishes with low carbs and plenty of veggies! Btw the portion sizes are absolutely on point! Thank you so much can't wait to order breakfast...
