Like others, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. This place is just amazing. They have earned a spot at the top of our list of TOP breakfast spots in KC.
We always go early on Saturday or Sunday (before 7 a.m.) because they will fill up quickly.
The staff has always been super friendly and they always seem to be in great spirits. To me that seems like this is probably a good place to work. For a late teen/early twenty-something to be cheerful & checked-in to their job that early on a weekend? That is saying something The managers are always walking around, checking with all of the customers and making sure everything is ok.
The first picture is my 'usual', The Titanic omelet (think everything but the kitchen sink omelet)- with the biscuit & gravy on the side and my wife's 'usual', French toast.
The second picture, you'll have to forgive me, because I can't remember the name of the dish- but it is a biscuit topped with chicken fried steak, topped with scrambled eggs, smothered in gravy & hashbrowns on the side. If you look closely, you can just barely make out my wife's less impressive (imho) Workout Scramble. (One of us clearly hates our arteries more than the other)
The last thing I have to mention, is their Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. What can you say about these things? Honestly, words fail me. Let's just say, if you are borderline diabetic, this will push you over the edge. Even if your sugar levels are fine, this will move you to within spitting distance of losing some toes. It is just something you MUST try at least once. You can honestly eat them without any syrup, which I tried, but then I had to add some syrup because...well why not? If you are going to...
Read moreThe service was substandard.
I waited for condiments for 32 minutes.
This place of business is not like people with authority or we're on duty.
We work for state agency.
When we've go in uniform it's always a problem getting service. ( Delays to take our orders )
The waitress never is available to take payment.
Nobody can explain why the waitress would be taken payment for food. They constantly trying to get tips added. This appears because they get hafe of state minimum wages. Because they get tips also.
This was disclose by two people that works there the management does to tell them to pay taxes apparently two people that work at that location make about upto $200 per day.
Non- taxable.
We had a complaint against a waitress because of attitude.
but when we tried to leave the manager will not allow us to pay for food and lets it went to the waitress which we had a problem with.
I did put in an official request. I think this place needs to be checked into as far as the health department and other agencies.
Most of the time the silver ware looks very poor and did not look very clean.
Coffee is poor quality as always.
needs to be fresh it's most of time ( old and and weak )
Staff never has extra napkins on the tables.
always have to wait for extra napkins
why does not the restaurant napkins dispensers on each table to save waiting time.
This place needs to get a cashier instead of waiting for a waitress to collect for the food ticket with...
Read moreThe cook apparently didn't know how to cook eggs to order. I ordered over medium and they were runny. That alone wasn't enough for me to really complain. The waitress was a different story. I ordered water with my coffee. She didn't bring it with the rest of the drinks my family ordered. I had to ask again for water. We got the pumpkin Pancakes in stead of regular buttermilk ones. Waitress never said there was an upcharge. It was $2 per breakfast. Even the kids menu! A kids breakfast was $11 cause he got juice which was a $1! A little over priced. I paid cash for our bill. It was $52.23. I gave the waitress $60.23 so I could get $8 in all bills back. I handed her the change mind you and the cash was in the book thing with the ticket. She comes back with $7 and tells me I'm sorry I can't give you 77 cents.! I had to tell her I gave her 23 cents so she should give me $8 back. She responded "oh, I forgot about the change and forgot to enter it." What? Really? Told her it was part of her tip, so she could figure out how she's going to get her extra $1. I've come across many young people that can't figure out how to make change these days. How hard is it to type what you were given into the computer and it tells you how much to give back? I'm sure I'm not the first person to have...
