Over Flow Coffee House — Restaurant in Liberty

I have a LOT to say about our first visit to this coffee shop/restaurant. First, it was a Saturday morning and it was very busy. Ordering was a breeze. We sat back on the couch until a table opened up. And believe me, people were lined up for a seat. Secondly, I came from years of restaurant work and management way back in the 80's when health departments shut you down for the simplest infractions. I looked at the ceiling-SPOTLESS! The corners, SPOTLESS! The air and heat vents that are never ever spotless--they were "We-Just-Opened-For-Business SPOTLESS! In fact, I was astounded when I later asked the owner if they had just opened or moved locations, and the answer was 4 years. This place was the cleanest establishment I have ever encountered! And I do mean EVER! The next thing I noticed was that it was very quiet for today's standards, especially for as busy as it was. There is ALOT to be said about ceiling tiles as opposed to the wide open rafters that act as echo chambers. The relative quiet made it so much more relaxing.

Now to the food-We ordered two different crepes and both were delicious-bacon spinach and strawberries and cream. EXCELLENT! We ordered two different coffees, mine being a classic latte, with special instructions-It was perfect. The other a floral iced latte that satisfied my always experimental daughter. She was so impressed that she was emailing friends for a future visit. For as busy as it was the was there was also a very quiet calm in the employees who were very hard at work. HOW was everything so calm and relaxing for the business they were doing?

If I HAD, and I mean nitpicking HAD to say was a slight negative was the time it took for the coffee to come out. But--this is really searching for a negative. It would have been nice to have our coffees as we were waiting for a table, rather than just before the food was served.

Overall--this is a NEW favorite! We all have a choice where to go when we go out, especially in the days of lingering Covid. Mine will be here. Again and again. THANK you Nextdoor people for suggesting this place. We might not have ever found it without that suggestion from so many on there. We LOVE...

I took my coffee to go. They had so many options that looked amazing, but I was craving a lavender white chocolate mocha. I also got my son a strawberry banana smoothie and a blueberry muffin. I didn't try the muffin but my kids loved it and the smoothie was really good too. The staff were super friendly and personable. I had yet to find a coffee shop up here in the Northland that serves specialty drinks that tasted super great besides a basic Starbucks. I will go out of my way now from my Zona Rosa homebase just to get their coffee. We also happened to meet the owner's daughter while we were waiting. For such a young almost teenage girl I was extremely impressed by her personable nature. She was kind and sweet and just a true testament that this coffee shop has to be run by great people. 5 STARS or 10 if I could! Seriously, this place is THE place to get coffee in Liberty, MO! If you live her or just passing through, this is the place to stop and not only get an amazing cup of coffee but a warm welcome and smile from all the friendly staff. Even the people here enjoying their coffee are friendly and sweet! From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt welcome. As I walked around enjoying their book collection and the prayer wall, I couldn’t help but catch a tune playing over the speakers….“I trust your word, help me let go” and I immediately felt peace knowing that whatever I may be going through in this crazy world and you ALSO,,,,,,that you can too trust His word and Let go!
