This is your typical family restaurant, probably Greek owned, serving a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals and snacks and is open Sun. to Wed. 6-3 and Thur. - Sat. 6-9. We were in the mood for soup and salad for lunch and knew this kind of diner would fit the bill and it did. The Lunch and Dinner Menu has everything from salads, sandwiches, and burgers to seafood, Italian and broiler dishes. My wife chose the Julienne salad ($15.00) and I selected the Cobb salad ($14.50). We could select any dressing from the usual and they were brought out on the side. Both were huge and either could have been split by two people. Looking at my pics, you'll see no shortage of all the good stuff on these salads. I particularly enjoyed the plentiful amount of blue cheese crumbles and thick bacon bits on my Cobb. The salad orders included a bowl of soup and the soups of the day today were chicken noodle and navy bean. We opted for the chicken noodle and it was delicious with thin noodles. A basket of crackers, breadsticks and butter came out with the soup. We saw many seniors dining and most brought home enough for another meal. They do offer cocktails, beer, wine and more. Parking is plentiful in their own lot. Once we were inside we realized we had been here before long ago and again, it was good. You will not be...
Read moreCame here because their website said they had pumpkin 🎃 pancakes, they had great reviews, and they've been there since the 70s. Great staff and service. Ordered the pumpkin pancakes. I was checking out the pancakes, and they smelled so good that I decided to only put a little butter on them and no syrup. The owner stopped at my table and saw I didn't put any syrup on them and asked me if I liked them. He patiently waited for me to take a bite. They were exceptional. I told him they were really good and he said, "I know" and walked away. They had just the right amount of spice to them. The Greek skillet was really good, too. I will stop in here again next time I'm in Libertyville. I stopped a year later, and the pumpkin pancakes were even better, and I got Three! Didn't need syrup, they...
Read moreThis past March was the first time in at least 3 years dining here and I really missed it. I'm a bit of a foodie so I'm all over the place always exploring new restaurants.
Not sure if there's a new owner or if the Google site got revamped but this place used to have hundreds of reviews and several dozens of photos in the past.
Anyways, I've always loved the elegant breakfast/lunch venue which serves up some great grub at still reasonable prices, dining area is very clean/sanitized and customer service reigns supreme.
It's family restaurants like this that I always look forward to a delicious good ol' fashioned home cooked breakfast and hopefully we'll be back much...
