Pizza Italia — Restaurant in Libertyville

We have ordered from the Libertyville Pizza Italia for years. The Chicago style pizza is tasty but comes with a side of attitude and lack of quality control. We frequently have experienced issues: order was wrong, delivery was REALLY late, toppings slid all over during delivery, toppings not split half-and-half like ordered, etc. Upon calling to discuss issues, the phone staff is frankly rude. They actually block you from speaking to a manager and won't help you at all. They don't remedy your issue. In short, their customer service sucks. The pies are tasty. But I'm done putting up with their lack of quality and customer service. I am happier to pay another pizzeria for a worse product, if it's delivered on time, as ordered and remedied if something goes wrong. It's surprising to me that most of their customers haven't abandoned them at this point. And based on other reviews this is not an isolated incident. It's good when right, but a roll of the dice. Not gonna lie, the pizza crust wasn't fully cooked but the cheese was slightly browned (so it couldn't cook for any longer). They should adjust the temperature of the oven to fix that issue.

Also, theres not enough sauce on the pizza or something because the cheese just pulled off the pizza with the first bite of every slice. I couldn't stop the cheese from pulling off each and every slice with my first bite.

Wish I knew only two bread sticks came with an order of bread sticks.... I would have ordered more.

Overall the pizza and bread sticks were alright but could be a bit better. I may have gotten a bad pie or something made by an inexperienced cook. I'd try this place again but a later on in the future to see if...

Their Deep Dish Veggie Pizza is Pretty good, just could use less tomatoes but if I could rate it on my top ten list of Deep Dish Pizzas it would definitely be a 9. Thats how good it is! Other than that, the customer service I received was great! Friendly young man worked the front register. They do however, need to work on their online orders. I had sent in my order, paid for it. Came in ,to pick it up at the restaurant and the order was notin thir system, so i resubmitted my order in person with their friendly associate . But, i had to wait another 40 minutes which was really irritating, especially when you are hungry. Thats why i gave this place a 4 vs. a 5 otherwise it would've been 5 stars all...
