After calling the restaurant numerous times to order my food while I was driving there I got to the place only to find the guy behind the counter texting on his cellphone while the phone was ringing. I then ordered my food and sat and waited. There were 2 people ahead of me. After 35 minutes and numerous orders handed out to people that were there both before and after my arrival a customer comes back in and says his order was wrong. I then realize, as did the worker, that my food had been handed out to the wrong person. Instead of apologizing and remaking the food the worker tried to give me the same food that the customer had left the store with and brought back. And to top it off the worker wanted to give me a free ranch cup for my troubles. For 40 minutes of my time... a ranch cup. So I asked him for a refund and agreed to take the food as well. For my troubles. For my 40 minutes. The worker then started to argue saying that he had worked 14 hours and blah blah blah. Which was a lie bc American Deli isn't even open 14 hours and if they were what they're selling breakfast now??? No one is ordering chicken wings at 7am. Flat out lie. I then asked to speak with the manager and was informed he was not there. After the worker laughed in my face numerous times and tried to downplay his mistake I asked him to call the manager. I spoke with him on the phone, James. No help what so ever. Not even an apology. We hung up and I told the worker he needed better customer service skills which he then laughed and kept his sorry attitude. Will be escalating this issue as it is...
Read moreI usually go to a different location, so this was technically my first time. I came in late last night (about an hour before closing) and there were a lot of young people in like their twenties coming in and placing orders. The cashier didn't seem bothered by the business at all, he was very polite and accommodating. It was clean, the TV was on comedy central loud enough so we could actually watch while waiting for the (usually) longer wait time on food. I ordered for two people and this place took like 10minutes - awesome considering how many of us were waiting. I bought two sub meals and it was $22, the price I've been paying for years at another American Deli. This is surprising considering everywhere has substantially raised their prices. Took the food home (about 10mins) and the fries were crispy and hot, the subs were perfectly toasted and fresh-tasting. Had such a great experience for takeout. Will definitely...

First she said "can I take your order and then got busy with the customer in front of her. Then,She kept on saying, I can't hear you over and over again and got busy with other customer. I could hear her ringing up other people order while I was asking her," Can you hear me now." She did not disconnect the phone nor tried to answer.
