My family and I visited this location (1420 Bellefontaine Ave, Lima, OH) for dinner on 9/3/2021. We attempted the drive thru, but super busy. We parked the car and my two daughters (10 & 12) and I went inside to order our food. The line was long and I let out that deep sigh in irritation. My irritation was quickly turned upside down to complete joy. Your Assistant Manager, DeShay W., was out of this world. He flipped the stressful situation into an entertainment show for all. He was having fun with the customers, and staff alike. Joking and laughing and making the best of the situation. He was clapping, telling jokes, engaging customers in conversations, praising the staff, and constantly stating, "Good Job Everyone, way to push it."
Like many restaurants in our Covid world, I am sure your business is struggling with staffing issues? Finding and retaining workers is hard. You should do everything in your power to retain DeShay, and make him a teacher to future managers. I wanted to work for DeShay!!
I talked to other customers in line, that are regulars and they said DeShay is like this every single day he is working. This was not a special occasion. DeShay is a motivator, leader, and a passionate manager who truly loves his job.
Thank you for such a pleasurable experience DeShay, and setting an example for my daughters who soon will be of working age and have the opportunity to bring joy to...
Read moreWas asked to wait a moment as soon as I pulled up to the window, no big deal. 5 minutes later when I said "Umm, hello?" and was told "I said just a minute!" In a snarky voice, they had been dead when I pulled up but at that point I was the first of four cars. A few minutes later I finally get told they can take my order, I placed it and pull up to the window, I could see three workers standing by the window, but for some reason it took them three or four minutes to open the window and say their computer was down and asked me to wait yet again. Still not a big deal. They finally take my money give me my bag and my drinks, and told me have a good night. Awesome. Great. I didn't check my food before I pulled away because I figured they had plenty of time to double check the order. My mistake. We had ordered two sandwich meals and a chicken nugget. In the bag were 2 sandwiches, one fry, and the sauce for the nuggets. One of the sandwiches was wrong. I go back through the line, which then was full, try explaining the mistake and have to repeat it four times, because the woman on the microphone kept getting it wrong. They were super nice when I pulled back up and that time everything was right. It was late, and I understand computer problems can be frustrating, but this is my first time visiting that location and...
Read moreThe food is normal Arby's...I like that. But found 3 hairs in 2 different items. The manager made it right...but going back is an issue for me. The local Arby's stores have started playing the christian radio station all the time. As a life long Pagan it is offensive to me in a public restaurant. I know that is fine with most people; however, if it was Pagan music someone would make a complaint and they would be forced to stop playing it. This double standard is what offends me the most. If i went to a christian books store, church, or a private person's home i would understand their music selection. I don't force others to listen to my music choices (even in my car) so why should i be forced to listen to music i find distasteful...especially while i am eating. Country music was pushing it...but tolerable....christian music and...
