I visited this Wendyโs in Southfield the day we broke our fast at 5 p.m. We had to be at church by 6, so I stopped in hoping for a quick bite my kids would enjoy. They asked for something fast, and I thought, โWendyโs chiliโit used to be my favorite.โ Unfortunately, it wasnโt the same. The texture and taste of the meat left me uneasy. It didnโt resemble ground beef at all, which made me think twice about whatโs really being served in fast food these days. It had me thinking about the human meat. The people say that theyโre putting in fast food restaurants now cause it wasnโt ground beef. Thatโs for sure!
To make matters worse, service was extremely poor. I watched four other people get served before us. When I approached the counter, the young lady barely acknowledged me, said she was waiting for the meal to be completed however the only thing missing was a plastic cup, and the prepackaged bag of takis to my daughters meal, which made that even more unnecessarily very rude, unpleasant, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. I wouldnโt recommend this place. Very disappointing.
Sadly, I canโt recommend this location. The younger staff seems disconnected and carelessโtoo sloppy for a place where people just want to enjoy a simple meal with dignity...
ย ย ย Read moreI don't think we will be going back, unfortunately it just isn't the same. The food just isn't as good as it used to be, they have cut size and quality. The advertising is designed to loure you in ,like buy 1 burger get the second on for a 1$ but in the fine print that you can't see it states that can't be combined with a combo so if you order say a Classic and a second one for a dollar you can't buy fry's or a drink or it is automatically a combo and voids your second burger and no the staff will not make you aware of these details until you have made your purchase and check your bag wondering where is the rest of you food. When you ask to see a manager they just try to offer you free food and tell you the manager is busy. They location I am referring to is a Dix and Southfield Rd. Its summer we went to lunch where my daughter wanted to go we weren't trying to be cheep my husband would have easily ate 2 burgers and a large fry but when we asked where is the 2nd burger we were told because he also ordered fry's and a drink the computer automaticlly voided his second burger, we dined in our fry's were warm at best the whole experience was so disappointing, I see why food trucks are popping...
ย ย ย Read moreI use to eat at Wendy's a lot years ago but I have never cared for the hamburgers ๐ they make. So I always use to get two baked potatoes and a nice salad. But a friend recently told me that I had to try the fries ๐ they make now. I did so on his recommendation and discovered that he was correct, they really are great. I have tried a couple different selections (and a couple different Wendy's) from the choices of the burgers that they make and still do not care for them. But I understand that is just me. This experience was the same with the exception of that new, modern beverage dispenser. They really need to have instructions posted on it for us "first timers". I had to wait for one of the staff to come from behind the counter to show me how to get my Coke. While there, I found that walking on the floor was like walking around on a icy sidewalk. It had something oily or greasy on it and was extremely slippery and dangerous. But I did thoroughly enjoy my French fries ๐. They have plenty of seating, quick service, carryout service, curbside service, drive through, and masks are optional at this time. Ample parking...
