Zukin's Rib Shack — Restaurant in Lincoln Park

My wife and I have been eating at Zukin's for 20 years or more and before tonight we never a bad dinner or experience. I had the short rib dinner and my wife had the gizmo which is the short end rib dinner and shrimp. While hers was good my ribs were more than 70% gristle barely even edible. I called just to let them know thinking maybe they ordered their meat from somewhere different so they would be aware of the issue. I wasn't asking for anything just alerting them of the issue, the girl on the phone told me they were going to replace my dinner. I let her know I had eaten it already I was real hungry We waited over 45 minutes after calling the order in even. she was very nice and understanding she said no problem sorry for the inconvenience. Then some guy got on the phone and said the bring the dinner I bought back to get my replacement. I had already let her know I had eaten it. I was real disappointed In how they handled the problem. I'm Not sure what's going on over there if they're getting their meat from somewhere different or using cheaper cuts. or if there are different cooks or owners but not only was my food bad this time but they were rude on top of it. To spend over $ 20 on a small portion of food and have it nearly unedible is a smack in the face. Then have some wise ass add insult to injury is messed up. The food here is excellent always has been never a let down, I've been going to zukins when they were on springwells in detroit in the 70's. So let me get to my problem now i ordered yesterday some food and i took my little one with me to pick it up she's 3 years old. I went to the counter paid and then sat down to wait for my order and by the way i also tipped 5 dollars and some change now my 3yo hits me with she has to pee im like dam they have a sign NO PUBLIC RESTROOM i get it you dont want people in and out of your rest room and dirtying it up. Well i asked anyways if she could use the rest room shes dancing and says shes going to pee her pants I GOT A BIG FAT NO AND THEN A BUNCH OF BLAH BLAH BLAH, now hey it is your business and you have the right to not want people in and out of your restroom. So needless to say i had to leave and take her home to use the bathroom then drive back and pick up my VERY COLD FOOD WHEN I WENT IN I SPOKE TO THE SAME WOMAN AND I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD LIKE MY TIP BACK BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. My family has been very loyal customers at Zukins in Lincoln Park for the past 45 years. Never really any complaints. Today, I placed an order around 7:40pm and was told pickup would be around 40 minutes. I came in a little early (like I normally do) around 8:10pm expecting to wait and I had no problem with that. After about 10 minutes of patiently waiting, I hear the lady that cashed me out (roughly 60 years old, grey hair, glasses I believe) say to a coworker at the counter “I told her it would be 40 minutes and she comes in at 30 minutes” and proceeds to say that I’ve been staring at her and it was “ pissing her off”. I know she was talking about me as I was the only person in there waiting at the time. I came in without a phone or anything to keep me occupied but I was never intentionally looking in her direction. I continued to wait another 10 minutes to get my food and I kindly walked out.
