IHOP — Restaurant in Lincoln

Very disappointing is the best thing that I can say. Just had late morning breakfast there, and probably will not return. The initial service was very slow and then suddenly three different people came to get our drink orders. My ice tea arrived, sans ice. My friend's coffee lukewarm. Then there was quite a wait until the waiter came to get our food order. We waited at least 25 minutes for our breakfast meal to be delivered. In that same amount of time two different small groups set down on either side of us, ordered their food, and were in the midst of eating while we were still waiting. Finally tracked down our waiter to find out what the holdup was. Food was delivered. While my food was hot, my dining companion's food was not. Could not flag down our waiter or anyone else to complain, so she ate it anyway because she was hungry and didn't want to have to wait another 20+ minutes. The price of 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns, 2 pancakes and ice tea was over $15 plus tax! Excessive in my opinion. When we were getting ready to pay, the manager did circulate around and asked how it was and we told her. She comped our meal, which was appreciated! After meal, I go to the women's restroom, and the smell of sewer gas was so overwhelming in there that I thought I was going to vomit. Not a good customer experience...

Went there after the storm and power outage for food and coffee. Waited forever. Staff seemed busy watching the plates at the kitchen and weren't the best serving tables. We ordered early so the food would arrive when others in our party would also arrive. The 5 orders we had took 42 minutes (pinpointed from texts sent) to get to us from ordering to table. The kitchen was definitely prioritizing pickup orders ahead of those in the place. If kids were not in our party and already hangry, we would have left earlier. There were other kids also saying they were hungry and visibly cranky so it was not just our table. Other tables that sat about the same time as ourselves also had long wait times.

When the food arrived, much was overdone from sitting under a heat lamp for a long time.

The good: the coffee was some of the better coffee I've had in a breakfast restaurant/diner. I just couldn't get as much as I wanted as I had trouble flagging...

My wife and I brought our three children there to celebrate the end of the school year. And let me say nothing says hey kids great job like melted milkshakes, a waiter who is clearly overwhelmed by having two small tables to tend to and the fact that I had to gather our silverware and remove the dirty dishes from the table. Let me put it this way if your staff and your establishment is not ready to serve guests you are doing your guests a disservice by attempting to offer less than mediocre service our ticket wasn't small it was 80 bucks I would have rather thrown that money away than give it to your restaurant.

UPDATE: WEVE BEEN SITTING HERE ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER TABLES FOR AN HOUR. THE COOK DOESNT COOK MORE THAN ONE ITEM AT A TIME. I'M LITERALLY CARRYING MY OWN FOOD...
