From Yelp: Its downtown, its chicken. Not just any chicken, but lip smacking, freshly fried, so good your tongue will never want to eat anything else chicken. As good as it gets for chicken fingers. Chicken is probably unlike any chicken finger you have had anywhere else. It took me a while to 'get' this place. They have 1 thing. Chicken fingers. But, they do it right and it shows. The chicken is fresh and hand battered right there as you order it. No frozen pre-made chicken that's refried which is what you get at 99% of the other restaurants out there.
You walk in, and you will see somebody do a head count and yell back "5 in", letting the fry cooks in the back that they are about to get 5 new customers ordering up some chicken. So they begin dredging and frying those bad boys so when you order and pay, you are a minute or two away from deliciousness.
Their sauce is the boss and you can also get catsup and honey mustard to dip as well. The Texas toast is amazing as well. I'm not a fan of coleslaw so I won't judge that one.
This location is full of students just about from open to close so don't expect to get a seat during normal lunch hours unless you get here a little early you are going to wait a few to get a table.
We love going here after a movie at the Lincoln Grand, or after taking the kids to the Children's Museum, which is right next door. If you go after visiting the Museum, show them your sticker and they will donate a portion of your meal BACK to the Children's Museum. Pretty nice thing for them to do.
The music playing is also great, some great classics and I only hope the students in there listen up and enjoy the good stuff from the 60's, 70's and 80's and 90's they...
Read moreUsed to be regular customers— weekly. It was Super affordable, good quality and reliable. We ordered every Sunday for YEARS.
Until now. If I could give less than one star I would. Every time you talk to an employee, they are clueless. The menu. The prices. What’s available. Regardless of what prices are listed online, expect the prices to be wrong. (I quote) “we don’t have the ability to change the prices online. Minimum wage went up so we raised our prices $10-15 each item.” Lazzaris is a JOKE anymore which is sad considering its previously promising history. I’ve been denied and hung up on for asking them to honor the price of a meal printed on their online menu. It’s no coincidence that the restaurant is an absolute desolate ghost town 24/7. *and you if you do go there— don’t order the knuckle sandwich. The cooks openly complain about having to make them (because apparently it’s a hassle). In one situation, we didn’t get our sandwhich, after paying for it, simply because the cook didn’t feel like making it. Their response? Oh, sorry about that. No refund or way to fix the situation.

I was trying to place an online order for the next day, however the website was not allowing me to select a delivery time earlier than 4:30 pm. I called to see if this was the norm as I needed our order at noon. The person who answered the phone was very apologetic and gladly took my order over the phone for delivery at noon the next day. He was also very knowledgeable about how much salad to order for a group our size, because I had no clue. He asked if we would need plates, napkins, etc., and I told him no, we keep those on hand. Day of delivery at 9 am (before they even open!) I received a call again asking if we needed plates, napkins, etc., which was great. It's something that one might not always think about and I truly appreciated the follow up. Pizza and salad were delivered on time and the delivery person was very friendly! I later found out my 9 am call and delivery driver was one of the owners. That's how you keep and run a great business. Thank you so much! You took a first timer and gained a forever customer! Looking forward to dining in sometime...
