I originally made this review in 2023... My boyfriend and I went to see a popular band at the Lighthouse Bar. This was the first time we had been back here since COVID and Bally's took over the casino. My boyfriend is in a wheelchair, so we got to the bar early to get a table as we had done in the past. When the gentleman came to the podium, he started telling everyone in line that the entire seating area was reserved, and the few tables at the top row were first come first serve. When he got to us, we asked if there was any place for handicapped patrons, and he said no and reiterated that the seats at the top were first come first serve. I mentioned that for the many years that we have been a patron, there used to be a couple tables reserved for the handicapped (and they have been very accommodating), yet he repeated his spiel as if he didn't care. Now fast forward to 2025... and not much has changed. We came again for the same popular band and the ENTIRE seated section was reserved. How can you have the entire area reserved (for high rollers only), and patrons who come to enjoy a show, get turned away, including the handicapped. Now you have a good 50-100 people standing blocking the aisle. And with the railing at the height it is, it's almost impossible for anyone in a wheelchair to see. We thought things were getting better, but obviously not. To be fair, the bar itself and its bartenders are great. Especially when one remembers you after 3 years, that's a great feeling and a quality you want to have in your staff. If you go up to the bar you can only purchase 1 drink at a time, however a bartender who's been employed for years, and know it's hard for my boyfriend to get to the bar, he allows me to purchase 2. I'd ask one of the 2 waitresses to take our order except they only cater to the middle level, and no where else. It's just discouraging, the casino was bought out by a well known name, Bally's, and yet isn't as inclusive as you...
Read moreI went to the lighthouse bar with plans to stay 1030 to 1am, but Tonight the cigar and cigarette smoke is unbearable. Tonight the lines at the bar was 8 people deep, I waited 4 minutes before deciding against all alcahol. The Band was awesome, but the dance floor was overcrowded for standing room only, and even standing was impossible to do without touching someone.
I left the lighthouse somewhat disappointed after only 45 minutes and went to the smoke-free bar for the acustic duo and for a relaxing drink with some wings. - that bar too was crowded and had no seats within earshot of the duo, so I left and drive the 20 miles back home.
Over the past 18 months, I have gone to Twin River's lighthouse bar between 1 and 6 times a month, but lately the bands they bring in are not worth the trip - when considering the...
Read moreBig ass bar in a casino. If you like large crowds. People watching. Live bands on weekends. Easy parking and a valet. Much slower during the week. You can smoke in most places in here so if you dont like that i would go else where. It's not bad but if your concerned... Drinks are good and average priced. You can order food and have it delivered from the very limited choices of good food. Eat b4 you come. There's table service if you can get 1 so call ahead if your planning a night out...
