I mean... it's McDonald's. I wasn't expecting top-notch service. But even by fast food standards, this place is kinda low. I feel like we've come a long way in terms of foodservice and we've distanced ourselves from what fast food was associated with in the 90s and even early 00s, so for this location to feel like a McDonald's I would've gone to as a kid is a bit disappointing. The cashier hardly said anything when we were placing our order - the only way I knew she was actually processing the information were the keystrokes on her computer and the prices appearing for each item. She had a blank stare with no smile and seemed rather peeved that we would dare place an order. I work in customer service, so I know how annoying it gets when people tell you to smile, but we were nothing but nice and I swear she looked like she hated our guts.
Aside from the service, the food was great! It always is, because McDonald's has established itself as a reputable source for cheap, tasty food. That's where the other two stars come from.
Side note from my wife: while my order was exactly as I wanted, hers was smothered in ketchup and not as tasty as she had anticipated. She's eaten McDonald's multiple times, so she wasn't expecting fine cuisine either.
Oh, and the whole place was filthy. Dusty windows, greasy tables, etc. Again, 90s fast food vibes. We're past that.
I only came here because we were in the area, but I'll probably avoid this location in the future since there's a much better one right...
Read moreI was there with my kiddos a few weeks ago. With the covid restrictions gone, indoor play place is open. It gives me peace of mind letting the kids play while we wait for food and I can kind of exhale for a second. This was really not the case. The first thing my 7-year-old did was scream, "there's a mouse!". I did not believe her until I saw it myself. I ran up to the counter and asked the friendly cashier for a cup and a lid so I could try and catch it. Upon trying to catch what I thought was a very rare infestation. I started realizing there were large metal boxes hidden but also within plain sight of the dining tables. I opened one of them outside, thinking the live mouse was in there. Mind you this was the large metal mousetrap right underneath the table next to us. There was no live mouse but at least five dead ones. I understand infestations and I don't mind getting my hands dirty. But having something like this not only in a dining area but a place where kids play is just absolutely not acceptable. Hopefully they are not continuing to serve people or letting people in that dining area if they are having mice problems. I'm grateful they were trying to control the situation with the traps. But when I realized they weren't emptying the traps I nearly puked. We do drive-thru here and there still. I just felt the need to say something in hopes it...
