Today we had the pleasure of dining at Naughty Buddha Burger Bar for lunch, and we were truly wowed. The restaurant’s dedication to using fresh ingredients they gather daily, and handcrafting every component of their dishes truly sets them apart. I had the Drunken Buddha Burger and the Ginger Love as my side, and my wife had the Singing Buddha Burger with the Broken Bamboo Seaweed Salad as her side.
The burgers were truly phenomenal; the patties, handcrafted from a custom blend of mushrooms, peas, and other ingredients, were bursting with umami flavor that surpassed any well-known meat alternative. They held together perfectly in the bun, ensuring a satisfying bite every time. The toppings on both burgers were meticulously chosen, providing a remarkable blend of flavors and textures that left nothing to be desired.
Aside from the excellent food, the restaurant had a wonderfully peaceful, relaxed atmosphere with several very nice plants, cool art, and the day we visited there were also calming sea sounds playing.
The owner was incredibly friendly and passionate about providing Lincoln with healthy and delicious food. He took the time to explain the menu, chatted with us about our weeks, and shared his philosophies on food and food preparation. Hearing the stories behind the creation of their unique burger patty blend revealed the immense thought and love that goes into every dish.
We’ve been vegan for years, sampling vegan cuisine across the U.S. and internationally, and this was hands down one of the best vegan meals we’ve ever had. Even if you’re not vegan, Naughty Buddha Burger Bar is an extraordinary dining experience. If you live in or near Lincoln, or are just passing through, this place is an...
Read moreJust placed an online order to be delivered at our hotel. When we received our order there was no receipt, no utensils and no napkins. The “oyster” chicken sandwich was only chicken (missing the oyster mushroom) and we were missing a side of coleslaw and the Mac and cheese we ordered, on top of all that, they gave us two orders of the chicken tenders rather than the one order of tenders and one order of wings we ordered. When I called and spoke to “Mike” about our order missing items he told me that the wings no longer exist so we should know, if we were customers before, that if we order wings we will get tenders instead. But the order of wings is $1.00 more than the tenders so we were charged more for one order of tenders because they were ordered as wings. Then he told me they were out of oyster mushrooms so the oyster mushroom chicken sandwich we ordered was only chicken. I asked to speak to the manager to make sure we were going to be refunded for everything and he told me that his manager stepped out and didn’t know when he would be back. I asked him to take down my number so that the manager can call me back and he told me they have it on caller ID. Needless to say, I am more than unhappy with the customer service and the way this was handled. The company should update their website to reflect their current menu, or at the very least, contact their customers when placing orders to notify them of menu changes rather than just charging them for things they didn’t order (and make them pay a higher price for an item and then substitute it for a cheaper one). We should be refunded for what we actually ordered and what we didn’t get! We will never give this company our...
Read moreWhile the food is good, the service leaves much to be desired and I would not return. I tried to eat here a few days ago, but after waiting in a short line for over 30 minutes without even having our order taken my group decided to eat elsewhere. I was still interested in the food, so this time I decided to place an order ahead of time for pickup to negate the waiting issue. We ordered two hours ahead of when we scheduled to pick it up. When we arrived, no food was in the Pickup cubbies so we got in the line that consisted of about 5 people. After 10 minutes we made it second to the front of the line, but the cashier stopped taking orders and was helping prepare food for another 10 minutes and left everyone waiting. Several groups had gotten in line behind us and every single one of them left due to the long wait with a line that hadn’t moved an inch. By now it was 20+ minutes past the time our food should have been ready, so I went up the counter and said “Excuse me, I have a pickup order?” The cashier just glared at me. Apparently she is above responding to customers. Another worker stepped in and said they were currently preparing my order and would have it out shortly. I’m not sure why they would just now be preparing an order that they’ve known about for 2 hours and is already past the pickup time, but I was at least glad that my order wasn’t completely forgotten and it was brought out to me within 5 minutes of asking after it. My burger and rice were delicious, but definitely not worth the hassle. I love how the Telegraph district is being developed, so I hope the service here improves or a better option...
