Salty's Lodge — Restaurant in Lincoln

I sent this exact email to thier contact us email address 3 days ago. No reply, no apology, no trying to make it right. If they even reply to this post im assuming it's because my comments are public not because they care about the situation.

Update: did in fact reach out hours after this was posted. He had three days to respond to my email. Stated family issues is why he didnt get back to me for so long. But it's highly suspicious he doesn't respond for 3 days and then responds hours after the public review.

So im reaching out before I post a review that would be extremely negative. My family and I have been to your restaurant quite a few times since you took it over. And I have always had a pleasant experience until tonight. We walked into the restaurant and there was a random busses bin on the floor. We sat down and got our menus. We have three kids and they gave one thing of crayons. It seems small but I commented to my wife "if they are watching the amount of crayons they are giving things are going to get bad really quick". I didn't know how right i was. We got our food and I noticed a few things immediately. My kids mac and cheese came out in a tiny ramekin. Had to have been the smallest portion ive ever seem served. Second was my onion rings were hard as a rock and cold to the touch. I meam i guess at that point I'll try and eat. As I started eating my burger it tasted extremely off. Then my son who got the cheeseburger noticed black spots on his bun. It was mold. I turned over my burger and noticed mold on my bun as well. Im sorry but at that point none of us are going to finish eating. We got our waitress Danielle's attention amd let her.know about the issue. Here, in my opinion, is where it got horrible, she offered zero apology, and never even asked what she can do to make it right. Literally all she said as she snatched the food off the table was " I'll check in the back on this". All that happed next was she came back out slammed our ticket on the table and asked if we would like anything else. We were kind of shocked to feel and be rushed out. So we paid the bill and left. Im sorry but from talking with you about how you started on the food distribution side and wanted to try to open a better a restaurant, you would want to know about this before I posted the review. Date night venture was okay we ordered onion rings for appetizer per recommendation they were big flavor was okay the way they were hyped i expected fresh battered these seemed like the standard frozen kind so was a little disappointed. I ordered the ny strip dinner mashed potatoes which was very good honestly flavor wise tasty and cooked to medium. Boyfriend ordered the pulled pork and link burger they later let us know they were out of the pulled pork but he went ahead with it. He said the flavor of the burger was good didn't care for the flavor of the link so he left it off. He started not feeling the greatest after so didn't get a chance to explore much but on the service side of things everyone was very friendly and welcoming only downside was given how mellow it was we were waiting alot. I travel a lot for work and frequent different restaurants as you could imagine. When I find a restaurant that has great food, a warm atmosphere, great service and value pricing, you take notice. Salty's Lodge checked all of those boxes. I have eaten in other restaurants in Lincoln that are not even on the same scale when it comes to comparison. Salty's Lodge is far and above all others. The food is delicious and the portions are perfect. I now only eat at Salty's Lodge when I visit Lincoln. For me, there is no reason to go anywhere else. If I could add one thing, it would be live music. Seriously though, you will not be disappointed should you pop in for food, drink or both.
