Naf Naf Grill in Lincolnshire is in a nice safe strip mall. It offers ample parking directly on the side of the building. It also has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a fair amount of space between tables. This was my first time trying Naf Naf. The food was fresh but they were too miserly on sauces and only give you 1 of the 4 different sauces they offer. If you want more or to try another flavor than just that 1 little tiny container they tell you it’s an extra cost! It was only after requesting to try another different sauce 2 times that they let us have 1 other with our full “pick 2 plate”orders. The purple cabbage salad option was way overly salted and after 2 bites I couldn’t eat anymore. I would suggest that whoever is making these items to taste it first before rendering it ready to go for the days lunch crowd. The cucumber tomato salad on the pick 2 plate was a good accompaniment with the meats. I selected chicken sharwma and steak. Both meats were ok (no taste) but decently proportioned. The rice was ok but lacked any real flavor. The large hummus was good however there was no olive oil, sumac, smoked paprika or any garnish on the top of it. Although it tasted very good, the picture on the order board wall shows olive oil and sprinkling of spice. We also ordered a large baba ganoush which had a nice creamy flavor with a smoky hint. Pitas were freshly made, fluffy and tasty. The falafels were excellent too; light, fluffy and great flavor with the tahini dip that was with my plate. Portions were very good. Staff was friendly but could have not been so strict and stingy about only allowing 1 little tiny sauce with the plate and everything else I ordered coming to a $30 lunch bill! The place was very clean as was the prep areas. I recommend the falafels and I would probably only order the sandwich not the plate for lunch if I ventured here again. All in all...
Read moreI have been a loyal Naf Naf customer at other locations, for years. I love Naf Naf. However, after what happened at my last visit at this Lincolnshire location, I'll be re- thinking coming back due to both horrible customer service but mainly, the food safety concerns.
My family member and I both bought drinks from the fountain machine. She complained of her drink tasting " rotten". So tried hers to see what was going on. No joke: it Did taste rotten. It tasted rotten, tainted or severely moldy. But the honest best word: it literally tasted rotten.
I tried to return the 2 drinks and provided both receipts. I let both servers know it tasted like rot or sewage and that you Can't serve this, people will get sick. Well, it took about 30 minutes for Irene to give me the money back. She lost the receipts I gave her, stapled my original receipts and tried putting them in the register and was generally confused. At one point, she even told me I didn't give her the second receipt ( I did. She later found it).
But what's scary, is during this 30 minutes, no one said anything to the customers buying fountain drinks with the to go orders not to drink the tea that was rancid or that perhaps the machine that was not clean. Nope, they just gave them cups and said nothing.
I did finally get the money back, with the original receipts, however, Irene literally threw them at me, rudely.
I hope they look into the safety and quality of the drinks and the food. Perhaps Irene needs training? Perhaps they need a visit from food saftey inspectors? I'm...
Read moreLiterally every time I come here, I forget to take a picture of how perfect and accurate everything is prepared for me and my friends or family, depending on who I bring with me. Anyhow, I’ve been a fan of Naf Naf since the beginning of this store opening, and I gotta say, I’m so proud of the company and the people working at this store since day 1, because without these people, my prayers for their delicious food which I crave frequently, would not be answered. Be it spring, summer, autumn, or winter, Naf Naf crew is always waiting for me with a welcoming vibe. By the way, their baklava boxes are a MUST TRY MUST HAVE MUST SHARE, so if you’re reading this review, then YES you definitely should grab yourself that dessert box at check out. I’m pretty sure I just learned today/last night, that they came out with a new flavor, A NEW FLAVOR OF BAKLAVA, PEOPLE! It literally flies off the countertop, so I think I’m calling in next time I’m ordering my food to ask if they still have the baklava in stock and if they can hold one down for me, because HONEY ( just so happens to be the first ingredient in Baklava) it’s a very VERY BIG DEAL. Thank you Naf Naf crew for being in mine and my friends and family’s lives, you’ve made a huge difference with your delicious and always fresh food. Oh, also, fun fact, this was the first place I tried hummus in my life. The...
