I was scrolling through Facebook earlier today and came across an absolutely glorious picture of some food. It looked so good, I instantly sent a text to my wife saying to hurry and get off of work because lunch was just decided by the Facebook gods themselves. I had the car running when she pulled up and we made the short drive to Vienmex - Asian Fusion Street Food located in Lindale. I walked in with my wife and we were instantly greeted by a young lady who was full of energy. She went over quite a few things on the menu with us. The owner walked out and also explained some of their menu items. They really made the ordering process as simple as possible. We ordered the mini monster tray, 2 different kinds of egg rolls, and a side of their street corn. Keep in mind, this place combines Vietnamese and Mexican in the best way possible, so please save the comments about it not looking “tRaDiTiOnaL”. The mini monster tray comes with 2 vibirria tacos, 1 viet-taco, 1 shrimp tempura taco, 1 hibarito, a side of fries, and 2 wings with the sauce of your choice. The vbirria comes on a corn tortilla with mozzarella, beef shoulder, and sautéed onions. The consomé had a slightly sweet flavor, but it was incredible. The corn tortilla was nice and crispy and yet still soft (perfectly cooked). The meat was very tender and mixed so well with the cheese and onions. The vietaco had red pepper, guacamole, pineapple, sweet onions, honey glazed jalapeños, cojita cheese, and cilantro. We got the carne asada as our protein. I’ll be honest, this one was definitely outside of my comfort zone, but my wife insisted that I ordered it how it came. I’m so glad I listened to her. It was incredible. All the flavors combined were just meant to be. The shrimp tempura taco was out of this world. It had Japanese sushi rice, cucumber, cream cheese, eel sauce, their vienmex house sauce, and sesame seeds. It was basically a sushi roll in the form of a taco and my wife and I loved it😍 The hibarito was an entire hibachi meal wrapped up in a tortilla. It came with hibachi fried rice, egg, eel sauce, teriyaki sauce, pickled carrots, cilantro, and sweet tai chile sauce. We got ours with steak. This was probably my favorite. The fried rice was so good and I’m really picky about my fried rice. The elote was different, but really good!!! It came with their sriracha based house sauce, honey, red peppers, and cotija cheese. We also ordered a southwest eggroll and a pork eggroll. Both of them were cooked to perfection. They came with a dipping sauce as well. The wings!!!! They had the best batter possible. I would take these over any wings that I’ve had in Tyler. Not only were they massive, they were full of flavor and very juicy. Food wise, this place gets a 10 out of 10 from me. In regards to the customer service, another 10 out of 10. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owners (Jarred and Ivy). I could tell how much passion they had for cooking within a few seconds of talking with them. It was really cool getting to hear their plans for this place. They also have a large outdoor stage and a really nice area that is gated off for fun activities such as cornhole, giant jenga, and even a large bounce house for when the weather cools off a bit. They also do live music!!! This place has everything. I almost forgot, they have so many unique drink options to choose from (milk tea, brown Thai tea, macha Thai tea, viet jelly coffee, and Vietnamese coffee)!!! They even had different ice cream choices and they’ll be doing milkshakes soon. We ordered the taro milk tea with the strawberry boba and I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. It was my first time trying taro milk tea. I highly recommend stopping by and checking out all the amazing food options, as well as the fun activities for kids and families alike. 75 Miranda Lambert Way Unit 1 Lindale, TX 75771

If you're skeptical about the combination of Mexican and Vietnamese cuisine, let me tell you, Vienmex in Lindale, Texas, is where your doubts go to die—and where your taste buds are reborn. We decided to dive headfirst into their Mini Monster Tray, a feast that includes Vi-Birria tacos, Viet-Tacos, Shrimp Tempura, their legendary Hibarito, a side of fries, and a pair of wings slathered in Thai sweet chili sauce. Just to make sure we weren’t missing out on any flavor fireworks, we ordered an extra plate of those wings—because who can resist wings the size of pterodactyls? I’m not exaggerating when I say these wings could’ve belonged to a prehistoric creature. I half-expected them to flap off the plate and fly away! The Thai sweet chili sauce brought the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, making each bite an adventure. And let's talk about the Matcha Thai Tea with boba—refreshing doesn’t even begin to cover it. It was like a cool, creamy hug in a cup, the perfect antidote to the spice from the wings. We devoured so much of the Mini Monster Tray that we practically needed a wheelbarrow to roll ourselves out. The combination of flavors was out of this world—crispy, juicy, tangy, spicy, and sweet all at once. Skeptical about fusion food? Don’t be. Vienmex is proof that blending Mexican and Vietnamese flavors is a genius move. So, to everyone in the Tyler, Texas area, do yourself a favor and check out Vienmex. Trust me, you won’t regret it. And don’t forget to bring an extra stomach—or at least some stretchy pants. Vietnamese saying: "Ăn no nê rồi mới biết sướng!" (Translation: "Only after you're stuffed do you know the joy of eating!")

Praying for success… but sadly I can’t return 😞 and I was so excited to go. Mother’s Day bust NOT for the GLUTEN FREE peeps. Pros: 1.great staff…THANK YOU! very nice atmosphere service was good 👍 Very Clean 👍 CONS: No gluten free options (I even brought in my own GF bread…I was prepared…as we called ahead to check about GF Bread for the sandwich and they didn’t have any…YET) Inaccurate order: I ordered the grilled shrimp sandwich and ended up with carne ☹️ asked for jalapeños on the side didn’t get them. Probably a good thing no jalapeños as my stomach hurt all night and still is hurting this morning 💔 We have never been anywhere where you have your drink included in your meal 👎. The biggest disappointment was that there was nothing I would or could choose to drink that was offered besides tap water(even though you pay for a drink). Maybe bottled water or a healthy beverage option would be a great addition to the cooler. I only drank the tap water. Kind of a bummer. Another disappointment was the sides. First of all it’s also included in the meal, I wish I could have had a choice not to include it, as there was nothing I really wanted or should eat. Especially as a GF person 😞 (btw my GF is not a choice it’s a medical necessity)…I ended up choosing corn, however I struggle with corn (especially if it’s not organic) as it’s difficult for my body to digest, but it was my best option given. It was also really the only choice for those who eat GF. FYI: Fries, run the risk of Gluten contamination in the fryer, so not really an option for GF eaters. Corn was missing something and not my favorite and I do enjoy an occasional scoop of Mexican corn…but like I said both my hubby and I were not impressed. Overpriced…maybe if there were healthier options the price would be acceptable. But I was sadly disappointed in what I got (or had to choose from) and the price. Don’t forget I brought in my own bread to boot. Oh ya…Also got a boba tea that tasted like a boba home kit and was not worth $10.00. And I was so excited to hear they had boba drinks. I had high hopes that were sadly dashed.

I just won’t be able to return 😞 However I do hope this is helpful and I do pray for your success here in...
