What a shame. What an absolute shame. We were in for breakfast late morning, and were brought to a booth⊠That hadnât been properly cleaned. What appeared to be cereal and milk smeared all over the seat, so I set about cleaning that up while one of the servers, who himself looked as if he hadnât had a bath in a few days or had heard of a comb stood idly by trying to act as if he didnât notice what was happening. Seriously, I wouldnât eat food that person served me. Anyway, we waited about ten minutes before our actual server approached and took drink orders and shortly thereafter, took food orders. The food arrived and everything appeared to be in good order. I had just a single egg, Canadian bacon, and toast with fruit, and my partner had French toast but had to ask for syrup. Things seemed to all be going well enough after the dirty seat issue was resolved (again, by me not staff) and then it kicked off! Some MANIAC burst into the lobby to confront someone, screaming profanity and generally behaving in a manner befitting the penal system instead of a restaurant in human society⊠CHECK PLEASE! We made haste and exited the premises and the area altogether! We had been before, a few years back during a low point in the pandemic, and didnât have a wonderful experience then, and we didnât have a wonderful time today and the decision was made to NOT return.    Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant but was ultimately disappointed by my dining experience. First off, the food was both expensive and subpar in quality. We waited 20-30 minutes for our soup to arrive, followed shortly by our main courses. Despite it being around noon, the restaurant was fairly empty with approximately 20 patronsâperhaps a red flag in hindsight.
Service was adequate but unremarkable. Our waitress was competent, but we weren't offered any refills throughout the meal. Additionally, the orange juice portion was surprisingly small, amounting to roughly two shot glasses, which seemed rather stingy for the price we paid.
As for the food, I ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. Generally, I'm not too picky about food, but this dish left much to be desired. The chicken was bland and appeared to be coated merely in flour before frying. The texture suggested that either the oil was old or the frying time was excessive, leading to inedible charred parts. The only redeeming feature was the country gravy. Moreover, the restaurant's concept of "spicy" seemed to involve simply adding chopped jalapeños, which did little to enhance the flavor.

   Read moreDISHONEST FRONT HOUSE STAFF. Left an iPad behind accidentally as we were leaving the restaurant. Probably was gone for 20 minutes until noticing the missing iPad. Once we noticed we immediately called and got told that they were going to look for it. I took it upon myself to go in and check when one of the staff was already looking. I told the staff that I had left an iPad and she responded âyes someone already called, let me go ask any of the busboys if they saw itâ couple of minutes later I was told that no one had turned in the iPad. Checking the location of the iPad, the iPad was still in the building. I called back to ask to check the cameras since the iPad hadnât moved and was told that they actually have it⊠As upset as I was that I was lied to, I went back a second time to pick up the iPad and the original worker who helped me look for it pulled it out from the back of the register and said âitâs this one right?â I have been a long time guest + my family and we just canât believe how dishonest this whole interaction was.
