Arctic Circle — Restaurant in Lindon

Had a terrible experience here, the building looks really rough from the outside which should’ve been the first sign to turn around. I have great memories of arctic circle so I decided to press on and get food for the family. We ordered through the drive thru as it was close to the kids bedtime and we didn’t want to have to unload/load them back into the car. The drive thru speaker sounds like it’s straight from a 90’s Motorola phone and led to taking several minutes to place simple orders as me and the cashier could barely understand each other. For four meals and one shake it was $53. After frustration over the price and paying, they informed us that they accidentally charged us double on one of the meals. Not a huge deal, easy refund right? Wrong. After telling me that they could refund back to my card (because I don’t ever do cash) and five minutes of them attempting a refund, I was told it was actually cash only for refunds. Whatever. As I watched them prepare our food, it took about 10-15 minutes to make everything. The first item they made? My shake. Which proceeded to melt before I even got it 15 minutes later with my food. I drove home in frustration but excited to eat what I remember to be good food and a (hopefully) decent shake. The cookie dough in my shake was visibly old and tasted old as well. Not the delicious shake with soft cookie dough that I remember from my childhood. After unbagging food and serving it out to the family at home, I realized that they forgot two of the cheeseburgers and fries. At this point I was forced to make food for myself at home while the kids ate. The food that we did receive tasted cheap and undesirable. After putting the kids to bed, I drove back to get a refund for the missing food. Without apologies or eye contact, the manager attempted to have my food remade which I quickly halted and requested a refund. I received another refund for the missing food, a quick sorry at the end, and will probably not be returning. They did not offer a refund of anything else for the inconvenience or make an attempt to get me to return via a gift card or free meal voucher. Overall I wish I could give this 0 stars. Update. .. 2/1/2024. Lobby closes @8. Kids love late ice cream and we love to get energy out of them also. Lose lose for this location. Guess we'll find a new play place to go to spend our money. Usually I rate this location a 5, but lately, I dont know. I have been coming here for years. I never complain when they get my order incorrect, even when I've had to drive back to get the rest of it. Happens about every 4 orders through drive thru. I always have coupons ready on my phone, and have only been asked for them about 3 times in 3 years. The one time my phone died while ordering, they wouldn't let me buy w coupons. Really? I even showed that my phone was at 0% and has a hard time charging without the wireless charger.. That $10 meant the world to me right now w many financial things hitting at the same time. However leaving and telling my kids we weren't getting burgers and fries was even harder while making Mac and cheese for dinner tonight. I sat on my road crying before coming home it made me so sad. I had always come to Arctic Circle as being a neighborly place to go. I understand they need to make money, but to not trust me when I tried explaining makes me re-think about going there vs other places in the future. We stopped in for 2 sandwiches & a small fry at 7:00p.m. We placed our order in the drive thru and sat in line for 25 minutes before getting to the window to pay. As I handed cash to the worker I asked him to please put a few salt pkts and a couple of fry sauces in with our food. A few minutes later he came back and asked us to pull forward to stall #1. We sat there for 20 more minutes as cars pulled out from behind us with their orders in hand before my husband had had enough. He walked inside to inquire about our food as a worker exited another door with our 2 sandwiches and small fry. At that point we'd been there for 45-50 minutes! Irritated but starving, we pulled into a parking spot and pulled our dinner from the bag. Much to my disappointment, there was NO salt pkts OR fry sauce(which they are "FAMOUS" for!!!, AND I had specifically requested!)At this point we're both NOT HAPPY. To top it off there wasn't one single napkin in the bag either 😤😠😡! And we both ordered quite messy sandwiches (his a Mushroom and Swiss burger, mine a Halibut fish sandwich).While the food was fine, everything was good, the service was such a disaster and incredibly SLOW!
