Where do I even begin? My wedding planning process was a whirlwind of emotions, constant changes, and uncertainty surrounding Covid-19. Throughout all of that, I am so happy that I went through the Wild Oak Venue to host my wedding. Although there were some policies that had been changed after signing contract and putting down a deposit, it all worked out in the end. We went from planning to have an outdoor seated reception under a tent to moving everything inside and partially under their trellis. We had 200 seated guests inside and the 80 remainder under the trellis just adjacent to the main indoor space. We used both of their bars, one inside and one outside in the back, which is where we also placed our photo booth guys. I did all of our florals through the venues florists, which turned out so beautifully! I loved that I could do this service through them and didn't have to have the florals transported from anywhere.
Tin barrel beverage is their preferred bartending/alcohol service, which is the only thing they are not flexible on. YOU HAVE TO USE THEIR PREFERRED BARTENDERS. Future brides interested in this venue, just make sure you are OK with having to use their preferred bartending services and OK with their alcohol policies. Also be aware that if you choose to have an outdoor wedding here, there is a certain level of noise that cannot be reached due to surrounding residential homes.
Things that I loved about this venue was that everything from the moment you walk in is just new and gorgeous. The overall design gives off a tuscan/little Italy vibe, which was great because I don't think it needs too much decoration to make it look pretty. What's also great is that they have a ton of decorations (candles, vases, umbrellas, dried florals) that you can rent from them. Communication between me and the Wild Oak team was great. Whether it was messaging through honey book/email, text or phone call, I always got a response in a timely manner. There were times where I was a total bridezilla, and almost switched venues, however, Carly and all of her sisters helped me figure out a different game plan and were very supportive in helping me think of different options when things went wrong. I really can't thank them enough for sticking through this process with me. All of my guests/family members could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was, and they loved taking all the pictures in the out door grass area. Total...
Read moreWow, wow, wow!! I was blown away by The Wild Oak! Our daughter's wedding reception and dinner were there this week, and we could not be more happy with how things worked out. Where to begin?
The people at The Wild Oak are amazing!! Shelley poured her heart and soul into the out-of-this-world floral arrangements, and we will forever be in her debt. She has unbelievable talent and an unmatched eye for design. Carly, Maddy, Ali, and Kelsey bent over backwards to make sure we were having a good experience and that every need was met (before we even knew we had a need!). They are incredibly kind, wonderfully attentive to every last detail, and true experts at what they do. The communication and assistance were unbelievably great throughout the entire process, and the honeybook software made everything such a breeze.
The venue is breathtakingly beautiful. We loved the indoor-outdoor flexibility it provides. We know April weather is hit-or-miss, but we lucked out with beautiful weather on the night of the reception, so being able to have part of the festivities outside made the night so magical. The setting could not have been more picturesque! And all the food, oh goodness -- it was absolutely perfect!!
To say that The Wild Oak exceeded my expectations is a huge understatement. We will cherish the memories of this special day for our family forever. And we will always be grateful to The Wild Oak for making such an amazing event possible. Thank you, thank you!!!
Full disclosure: We are related to the owners of this venue, but I've seen from attending other events at this venue that they provide the same exceptional service...
Read moreMy brother got married here 12/13/21 they were terribly unprofessional. 2 months before the wedding we were informed that the bar package that we had chosen, the DIY package was no longer available. after we had met with the bartender and agreed that would be the package we were using. We were obviously upset that the price went up by almost $1000 for bartending. The bar tender told us it was no longer a option because of licensing issues. The wild oak was not allowed to offer this package. The bartender was understanding of our frustration and offered us a discount for some of the extra charge. But in the end we still ended up paying more for bartending then we originally agreed to. Because the wild oak doesn’t know how licensing works???
Then the second incident happened on the day of the wedding. We had them set out 200 chairs with a count of 175. When we realized that was still not going to be enough. I talked with the Carly at wild oak asking if she could set up some more chairs we were a little short. She informed me that “they set up as many chairs as they were instructed, and the rest were locked up.” If we wanted as the wedding party to set up our own chairs there were a few extra metal chairs outside! So far we had paid the venue $5500 for 10am-10pm rental of their venue on the DIY package! They didn’t help set up anything but chairs and they still can’t help us set up 50 more chairs! So I grabbed all of the groomsmen and they helped set up the remaining chairs. Never would I rent this venue for anything. Nor would I recommend that you rent this venue! They were terrible. And...
