Spudly Donuts — Restaurant in Lindon

The donuts here are unbelievably good fresh, and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, the customer service was terrible. The woman at the counter, who appeared to be the manager, demanded that we pick out all twelve donuts in advance before she would even start filling the box, and insisted we pay first. When one of my kids changed their mind, she had a complete MELTDOWN and, instead of letting us choose, she just filled the box with whatever she wanted. Her attitude really ruined the experience. Even the customer behind us was just as shocked at her behavior. It felt like she was trying to enforce some kind of rigid inventory control system that might make sense for online orders, but it’s completely unrealistic when people are simply trying to enjoy a Saturday morning and buy donuts. Worst of all, my kid walked away disappointed because they didn’t even get to pick the donuts...

Fair warning, when they "run out of donuts" they just close. Despite their hours saying they're open until 11pm on Saturdays. My friends and I arrived at 6:06pm and the two workers were cleaning up, all the chairs were up on the tables and their open sign was off. The door was still unlocked though and I opened it and asked them if they were open or not. The worker told me "sorry we just sold our last 2 donuts." Which means that before even 6pm they began closing for the night. If you state online that you're open til a time and NO WHERE does it say "or until supplies last." They can't make more donuts? They're supposed to be open another 5 hours. We drove from pretty far to come here and it sucks our 25 minute drive was for nothing. Massive let down.

Better to call ahead of time if it's after 3pm or so to see if the business is even operating during their posted hours...

We stopped at Spudley Donuts tonight at their new Lindon location and absolutely loved it! We went as a group and cut up all the donuts so we could try every flavor, and each one was delicious. The texture is more cake-like than your typical donut — rich, soft, and perfectly satisfying.

What made the experience even sweeter was learning the story behind the shop. Reading about how the owner’s grandmother made donuts and passed that tradition down to her granddaughter was just darling and so touching. You can truly taste the love and legacy in every bite.

Such a fun stop — highly recommend...
