OVERVIEW - 4.0 Came here the other day with my wife as a result of word of mouth. She wanted to purchase a special cut of meat that they specifically do in Argentina, which makes for some amazing grilling.

LOCATION - 3 The location is along state street, but is a little hidden as it is quite a way onto the property. It is also kind of hidden buy a shop in front along the road.

PRICE - 4 My wife was psyched for the price of meat, so I guess they're prices are reasonable. Although I did some Cowboy boots that were over 100 bucks, so a little of both worlds I guess.

PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5 We grilled up the meat, and it was delicious. My wife also bought a goodie made of dulce de leche, so she was pretty psyched.

POINTERS/PERKS - 5 They cut meat in the Argentina Asado style. You can find other products here besides Mexico Products. (I found a kilo of yerba).

EMPLOYEES - 3 The employees were seen but not really heard, rather direct. I don't know if it was because I was a "gringo" or not, but didn't get much attention in this mexican...

We are long time customers who have been enjoying the food here for many years. We were worried with the recent remodel that the quality of the food would suffer or that the prices would go way up. We loved the folksy vibes and dive bar feel of the old restaurant and the new modern fusion interior and updated menu kind of scared us off for a while. When we finally did make it in, however, we were delighted to find that our old favorites (menudo, sopes, street tacos, huaraches, etc.) are still on the menu at the old price and just as delicious as ever. The interior is now beautiful and suitable for fancier affairs, and they continue to have the freshest, most generous meats of any comparable restaurant. This rebrand did what I thought was possible- they stuck the landing. They classed the place up while still maintaining what made this restaurant great in the first place- amazing authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices with excellent service. We ordered the menudo and shrimp street tacos. If I could give them a 6th...

Worst. Service. Ever. Waited 40 minutes for our food, then server brought out one person's tacos and rice. Waited another 10-15 minutes, and then she brought out everyone else's food, one dish at a time. The first person was already done with their food by that point. When there was just one dish left to bring out, she came out and said they were out of that dish and asked if we wanted something else instead....a full 50 minutes after we ordered it. She didn't even apologize or say sorry once...seemed like she couldn't care less. Meanwhile the chips and drinks were empty the entire time...no check-ins, no refills, no nothing.

Not sure what the server's name was, but she wrote a 'V' on our ticket. Other servers seemed a lot better, but ours was the worst service any of us has had in years. Food was ok, not particularly amazing but not bad. Live music was really great and by far the best part. But the service was so bad it ruined the...

I highly recommend Los 2 Compadres!! Great atmosphere, very simple, modern and clean. The seating was comfortable, and I loved the big screen; it was showing vacation spots around the world. The food is absolutely delicious! Complementary chips and salsa came out fast and were really good. I got the shrimp and steak tacos. They were stuffed full of all the deliciousness but my favorite thing on the plate was the stuffed jalapeño. I could eat a plate full of those! My husband got the fajitas and they were tasty! It was a ton of food and my stomach was completely full, but I could not stop eating the rice. It’s addicting! We finished our meal with a churro cake that was crispy and cinnamony. Kinda tastes like French toast and the ice cream on top was unbelievably good! Trust me, get the churro cake! We will definitely be coming back again and again. Oh and shout out to Luis, our waiter, he was top rate! See you soon ✌️

We have been going here for years, but the latest remodel is a significant upgrade. We tried the sope, chile relleno, chicken enchilada, beef enchilada, asada and pastor street tacos. All were really good. I think the pastor taco, beef enchilada, and relleno will be on repeat. We also were given the churro cake to try. I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s like a churro that went to college and got a PhD in taste. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet so you can eat the whole thing. The warm cake with the doctored vanilla ice cream is the perfect combo of textures that don’t compete but work well together. We saw a stage for live music. They said it will be on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Newly remodeled and cool space, with soccer games playing on large screen tvs. Just entering the restaurant was confusing with so many doors and poor signage. The food was not as good as we thought it would be. The guacamole was great. The chips were okay. The chicken burrito was good (but overly salted), and the flautas were flavorless. The service was friendly, but just okay. We had to ask for more water, for a box, for the check, etc. and they were only two other tables of people. With great service, that should be automatic. Also, the location is hidden. Signage on the street and/or better food and service would help a lot.
